After last nights post I had a few questions on the chocolate wrapper canopy masking. So here’s a few quick clips on how I do it and what you’ll need, modelling in this clip is a 1/72 P51 windshield I have posted on this before so apologies if I’m repeating myself. Hope it helps

@Tommystatic76 @VR3Frankie Exactly! I did the 1/24 Typhoon, took me about 15 months in all. Think the cockpit alone took over a month to do

@warbird_nerd @VR3Frankie Thanks Adam, that’s helpful, I hadn’t thought of it like that, like one section one day, paint it the second day available and so on and so forth, a hadn’t considered it like that. It’ll probably take 3 years but who cares right?

@Tommystatic76 @VR3Frankie Canopy comes in 3 bits, massive holes in the cockpit, revel logo and date printed on the outside, and check that gap on the engine cowling. The tamiya will go together like a dream 👍

@Tommystatic76 @VR3Frankie So no kit is too much, you have to compartmentalise each section. I always look at each bit as a model in itself. And don’t rush 👍

@warbird_nerd @VR3Frankie Honestly Adam, it’s way too advanced for me, I want to enjoy the hobby as relaxation, I love spray finishing them but that kit is like the complexity of the problem instruments I have to deal with at work. The Revel 1:32 is more down my street, cheap and cheerful canvass.

@VR3Frankie @warbird_nerd That’s a bit better but bloody hell. Im gonna have to look on YT to see why it’s so much better than Revel etc. I’ve not seen a Tamiya build of it so don’t really know what to expect. Thanks for the info tho Frankie, it’s appreciated 😊
