This take is bereft of an understanding of history. Ukraine is not Russia. Many things can be true at once. Ukraine has a corrupt government. Putin has invaded Ukraine under pretext so he could create the “greater Russia” of the Soviets and Tsars. Both U.S. administrations have done stupid things with regard to Ukraine.

@JohnCleese We are on Russia's side, because it's Russian territory that the Russians are trying to claim, after the Ukrainian Nazis overthrew the government and sent death squads to the east. But you, being a retarded Brit who has already lost their country, wouldn't remember that..🤔🤷

Yet one more ridiculous Biden-era policy being overturned, the ban on incandescent lightbulbs. Mark Baker, president of the Soft Lights Foundation, a nonprofit formed in 2021 to push back against restrictions on incandescent bulbs said LED lighting sacrifices light quality and may pose health concerns, citing differences from incandescent bulbs such as the lack of infrared output, increased blue light exposure, directional lighting, and potential flicker. He contends that these factors outweigh claimed energy efficiency benefits and make LEDs an inferior alternative.

How is it not common sense that a $20 minimum wage for fast food restaurants will kill the entire industry and end up bankrupting them and costing people jobs.

@WallStreetMav You say democrats are losing their grip on reality, implying that they had a grip to begin with? I don't think so. They haven't been grounded in reality in the last 40 years.

Democrats are in full panic mode as the changes at CBS News and 60 Minutes have become apparent. Under the new ownership of Paramount (and Larry Ellison with his son David), CBS News is now doing real reporting exposing government fraud in California. Now Ellison is also buying CNN along with all of the assets at Warner Brothers Discovery. The far left wing "reporters" are CNN are in a full blown panic that they will no longer be able to promote their radical left agenda. The far left was counting on their Obama allies at Netflix to purchase Warner Bros (and CNN). However the Ellison family outbid Netflix with $110 billion. Radical left wing senators like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are trying to claim "national security concerns" to block the merger. In reality, they are terrified at the though of the left losing their control on the media narrative.

@WallStreetMav Hopefully conservatives are starting to figure out that governance hasn't been happening through Congress for a long time... it's happening through institutions. Congress is merely downstream. And institutions can be bought out.

It’s an interesting commerce clause question. The original intent of the commerce clause is to make commerce between the states easier, not harder. So, having a single “standard” for AI could be good. The real challenge at the state and federal levels is having legislators who are capable of writing coherent law about AI.

@4thOfJuly365 @jefflindsay The mistake almost everyone makes is assuming that Social Security is a retirement program. It has always been a tax (Nestor v Flemming, 1960) with a vote buying “benefit” attached. Politicians use “I won’t touch your SS!” as a way to buy and secure Boomer votes.

@HedgieMarkets @BluegrassPundit Every car reviewer should refuse to review any car that requires a subscription for anything. Give them 0 or 1 star reviews stating it’s policy to not review any car that has subscription based functionality.

🦔Honda's 2026 Passport removed the physical garage door opener button from the mirror and replaced it with a subscription service through MyQ. To use it, owners need to install a MyQ receiver in their garage, connect it to their home router, and pay either $129 for three years or $179 for five years. Owners who want to retrofit the original Homelink mirror instead can buy the part separately from Honda for $170. The previous generation of the same car had the button included as standard. My Take The garage door button itself is minor. What it represents is a deliberate strategy that automakers have been refining for years, testing how much friction consumers will tolerate before pushing back, and the answer keeps moving in one direction. BMW started with heated seats. Now Honda is removing physical hardware that existed in the previous model and replacing it with an app ecosystem that requires a subscription, a new garage receiver, and a home router connection to replicate what a button did. A car is a one-time purchase and a subscription is recurring revenue that scales with your installed base, so every feature that can be moved behind a paywall improves margins without additional manufacturing cost. The problem is that buyers paid for a car that is now functionally worse than the one it replaced unless they pay again. The only thing that changes that calculation is enough buyers deciding it affects their purchase decision, and so far the evidence suggests most don't until it's their car. Hedgie🤗

@epaleezeldin —> WHERE in the Constitution did the federal government get the authority to do this in the first place??? —> And WHY did any automaker follow along??? Same with MPG requirements, et al, and now the “kill switch.” 🚨 Dear automakers, DO NOT COMPLY!!!!

The start/stop concept in vehicles is almost universally DESPISED. So, the Trump EPA has now REMOVED the ridiculous climate participation trophy the Obama Admin created to get this hated feature installed. The incentives for manufacturers to make your car die at every red light and stop sign have now been ELIMINATED!
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

The stop-start engine has become an annoyance to many American drivers, who argue that it makes driving feel unnatural, jerky and unenjoyable. The feature, designed to lower auto emissions, is set to be eliminated by the White House. on.wsj.com/3OqcuDg

@JohnCleese I’m really trying to understand exactly how Trump is a dictator. He’s lots of things, but dictator really doesn’t fit. Can you give an example of something dictatorial he’s done? Please provide an example that is unique to him - something not done by another president.

The American people get the government they deserve. We vote, every 2 years. We have the opportunity to toss them out. We know they lie to buy our votes. We’re like Charlie Brown thinking this time Lucy won’t pull the ball away. We know better, but we vote poorly anyway. We get the government we deserve.

I promise you this is the craziest article you will read today. Belgian court physically lost a CD-ROM (?!??) containing evidence of a r@pe video that was posted online on multiple social media sites. It's 2026 and we are still saving critical pieces of evidence on a fucking CD. Truly a clown show. Also, this article comes from De Morgen and is supposed to be a high quality newspaper, but still, they obviously had to use this as a hit piece against Elon. In 2020 (2 years before the takeover), the video was posted online and Twitter did not remove it immediately, they waited until 2021 to do so (which is super bad obviously). Basically everything happened before the takeover, yet they have to mention Elon multiple times and use his picture lol. Apparently the 8 million Euro fine doesn't even go to the victim, it goes to the Belgian state. So I don't even care about what the verdict of this case will be tbh.

@theblaze Now do the Democrats. Actually, they do have principles. 1. Tell the marginalized they’re going to use government to make things fair. 2. Take from the productive. 3. Keep most of it and spread the rest thinly to those in #1. 4. Repeat until there’s nothing left.

Look, I get it, Dems. You think buying Greenland is dumb. You think trash-talking NATO is dumb. You think Hegseth firing generals is dumb. You think bombing Iran is dumb. Fine. Maybe you’re right. Maybe you’re wrong. I’ll buy you a beer and we can argue about it. But that’s not the point. Every administration in American history has done dumb things. Jefferson had an embargo that tanked his own economy. LBJ had Vietnam. Carter sold the Panama Canal for $1. W. had “Mission Accomplished.” Obama had…. where do I even begin? Dumb is bipartisan. Dumb is American. Dumb is fine. DC runs on dumb decisions. What NONE of them ever did, what is truly, mind-melting, pants-on-head, clown-car-fire, galaxy-brained, lead-paint-chip-eating, 50-IQ-Neanderthal-ripping-a-bong dumb, was pay NGOs by the busload to smuggle tens of millions of people, including actual convicted criminals, across a border we spent trillions pretending to defend, then hand them free four-star hotels, free cell phones, free ATM cards, and a court date in 2031 they were never going to show up for. That is not a policy. That is a SNL cold open someone forgot to write a punchline for. A five-year-old with a juice box could tell you that was Bozo-the-Clown-on-crack, Weekend-at-Bernie’s-running-DHS, “hold-my-beer-I’m-gonna-try-something” levels of stupid. My golden retriever could have run a tighter border. A Magic 8-Ball would have outperformed the entire Biden interagency. That’s the new threshold, Democrats. That’s the low-water mark. That’s the floor. That is the Mariana Trench of public policy and you personally rented the Titan submersible. Argue all you want about the Strait of Hormuz. Write your op-eds. Go on cable TV with Tom Nichols. Clutch your pearls about Greenland. But until Trump proposes something even half as mind-bendingly, bone-crushingly, civilization-forfeitingly brain-dead as what Biden and Kamala did with our borders, I genuinely do not care. Zero F’s given by me.
