@RDonaldson91 No one claims borders are racist just for being borders. As most understand the reason for them. Yet it is the why and how we enforce the borders that can lead to racism. Most see some policies on borders control as racist because of the focus on skin colour.

When I lock my doors at night, it’s not because I hate the people outside… It’s because I love the people inside. That’s how borders should be viewed. Protection isn’t hatred. Security isn’t “racist”, and putting your own people first should never be controversial. But somehow… we’ve been conditioned to think it is. Society has been tricked into believing that common sense is something to be ashamed of. It isn’t, it’s survival.

This is an important point. Behind the unforgivable lie - we were not in talks and Trump just made that up - is that the lie telegraphed to Iran that Trump is desperate and in a corner, which has the impact of making talks even less likely. Just national security malpractice.
