My PhD work in @MarkDodding's lab is now out in the wild🎉 We used cryoET and FIB milling to look at HAP1 cells and platelets and confirmed F-actin sitting inside the microtubule lumen! nature.com/articles/s4146…

A Tweetorial (X-plainer?) of our paper @NatureComms An avenue for therapeutic intervention in fibroses, with excessive ECM production, via inhibition of TANGO1-mediated ER export. Led by the Malhotra group @CRGenomica in a multinational collaboration. 1/14 rdcu.be/dFBAq

This work was a great joint effort between a previous postdoc, Amrita Mukherjee, and a previous Master's student, Yaiza Andres Jeske (who are co-first authors), with invaluable contributions from current team members Isabelle Becam and Anaelle Taieb.

A key part of this project was to study class IV da neurons within developing pupae, when dendritic abors must regrow after being completely removed at the larval to pupal transition. We could thus assess neuronal growth when RNAi expression was most effective.
