It’s been amazing to watch @pilla307 evolve the past two years. This summer he made a little tweak in his mechanics and he made a massive jump in his velo. I can’t wait to see where this takes him 🔥

Want to improve how you land on front foot here are 2 things to consider Are you falling onto your FF are you striding with your back leg? Falling = early rotation of upper 1/2 Striding = pushing w/drive leg & hip-shoulder separation

In order for the throwing cycle to be complete it has to Start with the drive leg foot & end w/the release of the ball from the throwing hand If this doesn’t happen velo, command, spin rate/efficiency, consistency will all suffer & it increases the risk for injuries

Where to start w/your mechanics Drive leg foot: Drive leg foot is like an anchor. It secures the drive leg & allows you to ride the drive leg Pelvis: As you’re riding the drive leg your pelvis travels away from your drive leg & brings the rest of the body onto the lead leg

I hear “Throw with Intent” but what does that mean? I think the trap lies in that kids think it means speed up the arm or pull the arm down harder... IMO how do you get more intent? Increase load in back hip, drive more out of back hip and separate! @TopVelocity

A pitcher should not experience arm/elbow/shoulder pain Shoulder fatigue after a hard throwing session, maybe. But never pain

The first place I start with a pitcher is the foot Why Because the foot is what provides us with stability It holds us in place as we come down the mound. Helping us delay our upper half #BaseBall #pitcher

Pitching front leg mechanics Knee bends to height of hip Doesn’t cross midline in drift phase It’s job is to catch us as we get into triple extension Gives us stable platform to push off of as we release #pitchingnerd
