Well with some unfornuate news on my steam account id have to retire my og account cuz its locked. With that my 13.4k journey comes to a close. Ill start over on SE launcher instead but that means starting from scratch. At least the free trial has shadowbringers

Wuk is hated because she’s a terrible character, terribly written. Her traits don’t match her actions, her behaviour doesn’t match her appearance; and her role in the story doesn’t match her archetype. You can’t have the sheltered insulated nationally-beloved tomboy warrior princess that’s competent and charismatic while being completely in over her head, relying on the foreign hero she press-ganged into helping her on dubious grounds. You can’t have the chick with the big fucking axe go and talk-no-jutsu her way out of every problem, either directly or by siccing someone else on it. You can’t have a character that’s never left the capitol be adored everywhere she goes. You can’t have someone be “competent” while consistently making bad calls that get handwaived by the plot. And no, it’s not “transphobia”, most players never heard that dogshit and quite frankly racist performance from the English VA when they made their decision. The difference between Wuk and Hades isn’t a penis (though by your wording they may as well both have one), it’s that Hades is well written and compelling, even without the excellent performance by the voice actors. Stop defending garbage.

@ClayAwesmic it's wild they are expecting you to pay for the game and DLC again even if you already own the original DOA6. DOA7 is going to be much of the same. Nothing but overpriced costumes.

All the essentials DOA6LR could've announced at Evo Japan-- rollback netcode, tag mode, team battle, lobby host switching, replay takeover, major changes to the gameplay system - and what do they announce instead? A renewed license for Mai and Kula, as well as confirmation of the game being developed under the Katana Engine with improved lighting. That's it. That's the presentation. I want to be optimistic when it comes to DOA6LR, but even I have to admit I'm disappointed.

If you skip the story in FFXIV, I will personally show up to your house, sit you down, and read the entirety of A Realm Reborn for you, while doing voices for every character, over the course of 7 business days.

I got like 10k hours in xiv and I have no clue what is happening story wise. But I can kill bosses real good :) also I started in stormblood and bought a skip and still continue to skip cutscenes fight me about it

@ZletanFFXIV Point to somebody saying that. The most I’ve heard is that if you skipped the story don’t ask people what’s going on just go play the story. Saying you like DT is a quick way to get people hating on you. You don’t have to make things up. Ain’t nobody out to get skippers.

If you ever want to prove that FF doesn't have the best community, just say you want to skip the story and you didn't like DT narrative that much and watch them foam at the mouth as they tell you that FF isn't for you and you shouldn't play. Wild.

I have something to admit. I was on my last ounce of faith with FFXIV. I couldn't stream it more than 2 hours without being bored out of my mind. There was nothing I wanted to do on it. I had so many complaints mainly about the fatigue of the same stuff over and over and I was just paying rent on my house. This fanfest I wasn't expecting much, it was more of maybe this is the last time i'll see my friends if there was no longer a fanfest after this. Let me tell you now that I have never felt so emotional and happy about a game that has changed my life multiple times. From streaming XIV turning into a full time job, meeting the love of my life for the last 4 years in game, and just meeting such wonderful friends online. Seeing how much passion the developers and production poured into this Fanfest proves to me we have a great future going forward. I had so much fun during the whole of Fanfest. From the events, the meetups, the cosplays, the panels, Keiko and Amanda's piano concert, and Primals rocking it. Finally hearing Yoshi P telling everyone at the very end that "He loves us all" just hit different. The heartfelt emotion pretty much left such a positive impression upon the whole community. As I was walking around the convention hall, all I could hear were talks about getting home and playing the new content, how excited people were for 8.0, the amazing XIV community, and how people were reinstalling the game (Like me as I type this) LOL. Yoshi P, Soken, Koji, Foxclon and the rest gave us their hearts and soul for this Fanfest. All I feel now are positive thoughts, hype, and excitement for 8.0. They pretty much addressed a huge list of things people wanted and we are getting it. For anyone who wasn't physically at fanfest to not experience it directly, let me convince you the hype is real, the positive stories you are reading are real. The people ripping farts in the pit were real. I'm ready to dive back into XIV after 8 months away and I have never been more excited. Install is done. NAMAZU LOGGING IN. Happy Ending - Zalera
