Well, these days the government stepped back from Forcing automakers to sell predominantly EV. That was my comment. No matter how you twist it, you will lose!

@1Cronos2020 @TOCAlberta Oh we fully support driving vehicles, ICE/EV/whatever for as long as they last, that is almost always the way to leave the smallest footprint behind. Glad your ICE has treated you well. But you not agreeing with multiple studies, out of spite, is of no particular interests to us.

@PluginAlberta @TOCAlberta I don’t t agree! I still drive a 1998 ICE car that doesn’t use so many hard to find materials. Same low gas mileage, unrestricted driving range (charging stations). The carbon footprint of this car is unbeatable. 2027 is the deadline of our bet & it looks like you loose epically

I was told Model Y sales are pouring in at two stores in Toronto 🇨🇦 Now Canadians get $5000 automatically and there is no paperwork at all. This morning the Government of Saskatchewan announced yet another cost increase to EV owners in Saskatchewan. Starting January 1st 2027, electric vehicle drivers, who are subject to the Road Use Charge, will see hikes indexed annually to the national rate of inflation.

Canada just launched the new Electric Vehicle Affordability Program EVAP in 2026 and suddenly financing a Tesla Model Y Standard with $0 down is a better deal in Canada than in the U.S. All 3 colors are now included free in Canada.

We've made a small but impactful enhancement to this tool. It now uses Transport Canada's 'official' list of EVs approved for the incentive as a data source. Unfortunately, Transport Canada themselves state that the list is only for informational purposes ie may not be complete
