🚨 Should you transfer Bizblack points to Accor (via Singapore 50% transfer bonus offer)
Short answer: No
Long answer: Still no 😜
Let’s say we transfer the full quota of 75k Bizblack points. 1:1 to SQ. So 75k SQ miles.
Even with the 50% transfer bonus, we get 25k Accor points.
At a Rs 2.1 valuation, it is worth Rs 52500
Whereas your Bizblack gets you Rs 75k as hotels/flights via SmartBuy.
So don’t bother even if you have a lot of points.

@PointsPro I have biz black - loads of points. Does it make sense - bizblack to SQ to Accor. Keeping in mind 75k smartbuy limit. Even if I max out the 75k limit every month for the next 2 years, I’ll still have points left.

Always MEL was higher than SYD.

US domestic was the first signal, now Oceania looks impacted too
BKK to SYD and BKK to MEL are pricing differently in Economy despite being in the same zone
Business class still appears to be at the standard rate for now

It is already started to flower in Tokyo and Hiroshima today.

🚨 Get 50% Bonus for transferring Accor ↔️ Singapore Airlines Points
One can also use Accor points to transfer to air miles. Or airmiles to hotel points.
Transfer bonuses are always welcome as they help stretch the value of our points and miles.
Till March 31th, we can transfer points with a 50% bonus:
➡️ Convert 2,000 Accor points 🟰 1,500 Singapore (SQ) miles
➡️ Convert 4,500 SQ miles 🟰 1,500 Accor points
🔸 Should you transfer?
Short Answer: No
Long Answer: Still no. 😀
95% of the time, this doesn't make sense as Accor ➡️ Singapore transfers at a 2:1 ratio.
Even with a 50% bonus, unless you have a specific redemption in mind and be sure you can squeeze out more value.
🔸 When does it make sense to transfer?
SQ miles have hard expiry. Which means the miles expire even with activity. So if you have some spare miles, might as well transfer.
Last year, I took advantage of this offer. I had about 3500 orphan SQ miles. So, topped off my SQ account and earned 1500 Accor points for 4500 SQ miles. 👌
Further, this doesn’t make sense at all for Accor ➡️ SQ transfer. Only SQ ➡️ Accor as explained above.
Is anyone else transferring points?

🚨 Myntra - Decent offers Normally I don't post such regular sales and offers, but this time it was good! Bought a couple of Formula One merch and on top of a 55-65% discount, there was a 15% extra discount. 🔥 Plus ICICI/HDFC 10% instant discount. Of course, more valueback and discounts: ▪️ 6% discount on Myntra vouchers (bought previously, but can still buy with 2% now) ▪️ 3% affiliate cashback There was one full priced item, which I applied 15% discount and a 5X with Axis Grabdeals.

The era of credit cards in India is over. There are no real perks or benefits anymore. The Airtel Axis card is useless now, and overall, Axis and ICICI have been heavily devalued. SBI's service is among the worst, and Amex is hardly accepted anywhere in India. Don’t get carried away by the posts and tweets from the credit card community.

Air Arabia had DMed me and asked for the details. Now it is getting refunded to source. 👍
And thank god, I had booked this direct and not via TE or RM.
Please think twice before booking them via OTAs. Couple of years back the baggage paid didn’t get reflected and I had to pay again at airport (at higher cost).

🚨 Air Arabia: Cancels flights but won’t refund! And this is why booking full service carriers matters. We can reschedule (without additional cost) or travel credit but valid for one year. ❌ And this travel credit is also from the booking date and not travel date. So if you book well in advance the time to rebook gets shorter. @airarabiagroup can I get a full refund?
