Big time college baseball has phases. Phase 1-Nonconference games. A lot schedule easy wins to evaluate personnel. A lot of kids get to play. Phase 2-Conference games. Limited kids get to play. Usually 11-12 position player's factor. 6 or 7 pitchers for conference weekends. Feelings get hurt. Phase 3-Postseason play. Win or go home. The same 11-12 position players. Now pitchers 8, 9, 10 or 11 may have to be the hero. You'll see pitchers with limited innings get put in big time situations.

If the runner continues sprinting, they could have utilized the full extent of their established baseline width to avoid the tag. Don't stop running! Also, great job blocking the plate by the ump.

Safety Squeeze gone wrong! Good job @PGryskevich of @wittbaseball retrieving the bunt and making the tag. As a 3B runner here you not only have to see the bunt down…you also need an aggressive secondary and see the bunt down well beyond the front of the plate.
