Imagine an ERL 1 league in the big 2026 unable to find random people to cast a few league of legends games - we went from LR viewership to firing all the talent and having nobody to cast 🤡

@Praevius_ As there are ongoing payment and fair treatment concerns, many casters will have been dissuaded from joining the broadcast, especially relevant casters within the scene, I would imagine.

Man, can't believe I was looking to head back to NLC (home league)... that is a complete shit show. Hopefully everyone who needs to be paid, gets paid. The casters deserve better, they carried it. From being one of the better leagues to watch, to a circus. The downfall needs to be studied HAHA. The NLC is a complete shithole filled with people who keep being rehired in higher up positions that have failed the ecosystem for over a decade - Can’t wait for the next big rebrand that will surely change things around!

@JamadaLoL Yep im just waiting for the product to die so it can get rebuilt by people who actually care. Everyone there is just enjoying the "easy" job, just hired all their friends and treat it like a little get together hangout stream.

We could have had 2 LEC sister teams in the NLC potentially with LR returning after LEC Versus, a Ruddy that fully commits to the league again and an ERL revitalised with interest and investment with strong ERL talent in an ecosystem that is downward spiralling. Instead we have a plat streamer competing, 3/10 teams who are not competitively viable and a catastrophe of a broadcast where 3/5 "hosts" from what I can tell have little to no direct history with League of Legends or broadcasting at all. I'm all for trying new things but what's happening in the NLC right now is an appalling joke and spits on the legacy of the brand and region. Thanks Mathias Horn, Product Manager of the NLC, you are doing God's work! May you never touch a job in esports again after the decisions you have made here.
