The Government Administration and Elections Committee will hold a public hearing on 3/21 at 11:00 AM in LOB Room 2B and via Zoom. This bill would increase the recording fee that funds the Community Investment Account by $6 and is ESSENTIAL for funding preservation projects. 2/3

Saddened to learn the historic Spring Glen Hardware store has been condemned and is being demolished today (h/t @TheKaz1969). No word on whether the tiles or any other mementoes will be saved.

The former Spring Glen Hardware store was recently bought by Farnam Realty which is renovating it for a new commercial tenant. They pulled out some sheetrock and found these tiles from an early 1900s grocery store that was there before the hardware store. Pretty cool. #hamden
