The Guardian Angel Effect: Precognition in Combat There is a recurring phenomenon in combat and other life or death situations where intuition seems to cross into something that feels unmistakably precognitive. Warriors frequently describe an overpowering inner urge to act in a specific way. Many report sensing a presence or even hearing a distinct voice: “Get down!” Seconds before a bullet tears overhead. “Stop!” Moments before an IED detonates. “Move!” Just before a mortar round impacts. Precognition may sound like fantasy, yet accounts like these appear across cultures, conflicts, and decades, with consistency. What’s more, the phenomenon has attracted serious scientific attention. In 2014, the Office of Naval Research launched a four year, $3.85 million program specifically to investigate intuition, precognition, and related anomalous cognition effects in high stakes decision making. Beyond these battlefield stories, subtler laboratory evidence also exists. A notable meta analysis by Julia Mossbridge examined “presentiment,” also called predictive anticipatory activity, across dozens of independent studies. They found that people’s bodies (skin conductance, heart rate, pupil dilation, brain activity) show small but statistically reliable physiological changes seconds before a randomly selected emotional or startling stimulus appears, even though the subject has no conscious knowledge of what or when something is coming. In other words, the subconscious appears to be reacting to future events before they occur. What this ultimately means, and how it connects to training, decision-making, and human potential, deserves more exploration. The warrior traditions of every culture have long been steeped in mysticism, intuition, and contact with something beyond ordinary perception. Rather than dismissing these accounts as superstition, we should recognize them as clues to latent but innate human capacities that science is only beginning to approach. Keeping an open mind may allow us to rediscover and perhaps even harness some of these ancient secrets.

@fleshsimulator Immigrants who fully assimilate, denounce their homeland, and fight for American values are rare, but they exist, and I would rather them be here than a white liberal that hates us.

You want me to support a war in Iran then tell me that we’re going in to conquer, take everything they have, and give it to Americans. I’m not into the whole, go in, fuck shit up, install puppet, nation build for 20 years, then give it all back to the enemy strategy. Until I’m offered the former we have real “imminent threats” domestically that need addressing.

You think if we ignored Iran for 20 years (“cleaning house”), they would not have a nuke, and not be terrorizing Hormuz and controlling global oil? Look at North Korea, they have a shitty geography and no economy and still are a problem. Now give the power of ballistic nukes to a centrally located and globally significant economy like Iran and do you think that benefits America?

Israel has its own interests, and I fully expect them to pursue those interests. But can we stop pretending that we need to be in lockstep with them on every move. If we’re concerned about “imminent threats” can we spent like one generation cleaning our house a bit before we send our young men to fight another war?

Your fate is what you owe and what is owed to you. Not accepting your fate is dishonorable. But why? Denying or fleeing debt disrupts balance, leading to shame or chaos. The gods gifted man life, so we share in their debt to maintain order; every gift comes with an obligation. This may sound burdensome, but it’s hard wired into our nature. Reciprocity is a powerful subconscious phenomenon that has real impact on behavior. And when done honorably it builds frith. Modern life presents obligation in a negative way. But Skuld is not just burden. it is the condition that makes honor possible. Without obligation, there can be no repayment. Without repayment, no reputation. Without reputation, no honor.
Psyware@Psy_ware

The heathen concept of fate is simple. Yet there is a lot of misunderstanding of how fate can exist without being deterministic. Skuld, the Norn, is representative of the future. Her name is translated as ‘what is owed’. So: The future is obligation created by past actions. This is a fundamental and repeated theme. As an example to help you understand the concept at the most foundational level: When the gods slayed Ymir, and ordered the cosmos from his body, they incurred an obligation to maintain the order they created. Their future was now inherently impacted by the debt they incurred. The first strand of fate.
