It's part technobabble, part real, and as a gun nut, I can tell you exactly which parts. "The feeding ramp is polished to a mirror sheen". This is valid. 1911s have a two-part feed ramp where part of the feed ramp is on the frame and the other part is on the mouth of the chamber. A lot of modern pistols have a one-part feed ramp that is integral to the barrel/chamber. The goal with polishing the feed ramp of a 1911 is to try and smooth out the transition from the frame to the barrel so the nose of a round doesn't hang up on it and cause a failure to feed, but even relatively rougher ones will usually still feed just fine. "The slide's been reinforced". You can't really reinforce a pistol slide by adding more material. They're machined to specific dimensions and that's it. How would you reinforce it? By welding on more metal? No one does that. What he likely means is that it's dimensionally thicker than a typical 1911 slide (i.e. less material was removed by the machining process). This is semi-babble. "The interlock with the frame is tightened for added precision". It is entirely possible to have tighter-than-normal frame rails that the slide rides on, but this has no effect on accuracy, it only avoids having a sloppy fit between the frame and the slide with excessive play, which should be avoided, anyway. Too tight, and you have increased friction in the mechanism, which can cause failures-to-extract. There's a sweet spot for this, in terms of the exact clearance between the dimensions of the cuts in the slide and the dimensions of the frame, and it's where the slide has no discernible wiggle but still rides back and forth on the frame buttery-smooth when oiled. This is probably what he means by "precision". "The sight system is original". It visibly has custom dot sights. Not babble. "The thumb safety is extended". It has a larger-than-normal thumb safety installed. There are lots of different thumb safety cuts for 1911s, depending on whether or not the shooter desires a wider or narrower paddle to depress. "A long-type trigger with non-slip grooves". It has a skeletonized trigger that is longer than the typical GI-style 1911 trigger, and the front of it is machined with serrations. There are lots and lots of different 1911 trigger styles out there. Curved, flat face, long, short, serrated, smooth, et cetera. The important thing is for the trigger to be fitted correctly to the frame, otherwise, it will have substantial slop and wiggle from side to side. "A ring hammer". Very common on custom 1911s: instead of a spur hammer, the material forms a loop with a hole in the middle. "The base of the trigger guard's been filed down for a higher grip". This is a very unusual modification. I've never heard of anyone doing this for any reason. Trigger guards on 1911s are already fairly thin as it is, so you'd only raise your grip by a millimeter, and it would put your trigger finger in an awkward spot, closer to the top of the trigger rather than the center. However, Snake uses unusual grip styles with his knife and pistol together where this may afford him slightly more room. This is basically babble. "Expertly crafted and customized". Self-explanatory. The funny thing about this dialogue is that it's about 85% accurate. It's only slightly nonsense.

@orioleglow In a way they’re right, but makes it more impactful when they choose to be. They’re mostly human beings, they’re not creatures of darkness that have evil as a part of their essence. So when they do evil things, they didn’t have to, whereas the abyss possibly has no choice.
