@cottagescom Hi Robyn, I hope the situation has been resolved, but the high standard of the cottage is not matched by the level of customer service. To contact you I was told to download an app - No, you’re not scraping my data! Getting hold of a human to speak to was impossible!

@cottagescom Impossible to contact on the phone. Talking to a bot who doesn’t understand is not customer service. Why have you not returned my deposit today as promised by your agent? Really poor service

This flag is the symbol of a contested belief system that harms children. We note the school engages 10 and 11 year olds with the concept of gender identity. This cannot be explained without breaching @educationgovuk guidance on harmful stereotypes and political impartiality. What *do* you mean by "gender identity" Ashton Gate Primary? 2/3

I would be really interested to know how trade unions became so entrenched in Trans Ideology to the detriment of their members? Historians in the future are going to unravel this because I cant understand how TUs that came out of the working class came to a point where they purposefully caused great harm to working class women

x.com/RupertLowe10/s… To add to this latest tranocity, a (different) whistleblower just sent me the Job Description (attached) for this publicly funded post. I don't know about you, but it looks to me as though they are trying to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling:

Wow. A whistleblower has just sent us an internal civil service job advert from the Cabinet Office. Head of trans policy. 'The post holder will lead on trans equality', leading a 'small team' responsible 'for trans policy'. This is an astounding waste of OUR money. Scrap it.

I am a committed trade unionist of 35 years standing. I am proud of everything the trade union movement has achieved throughout history. But its abandonment of women fighting to defend their sex-based rights makes me ashamed. Whenever there is a successful tribunal or court result for women - such as today, with the Darlington nurses - mainstream unions are nowhere to be seen. And invariably they lament the outcome. Women are being forced to rely on the Free Speech Union and Christian groups to fight their corner. It’s an utter disgrace.

What happened in Birmingham with the Maccabi fans should concern everyone, not just football supporters or the Jewish community. The fans were banned on the claim that they posed a risk of violence. That claim later turned out to be untrue. The police knew it was not the Maccabi fans who were violent, yet the ban was maintained regardless. The reason was simple: Islamist groups demanded it, and the police chose appeasement over honesty and equal enforcement of the law. That is the real scandal here. Not football. Not crowd management. But policing by fear. When the police knowingly lie to justify discriminatory decisions, public trust collapses. When people are punished not on the basis of evidence, but to satisfy the demands of one religious or ideological group, the principle of equality before the law is gone. And once that principle goes, nobody’s freedoms are secure. Some will say this has nothing to do with them. They don’t follow football. They aren’t Jewish. They don’t live in Birmingham. That is dangerously short-sighted. This is not about who is targeted today, but about the precedent being set. We have already seen what happens when authorities are too afraid to act. Grooming gangs were ignored for years. Riots and serious disorder were tolerated. Masked mobs were allowed to intimidate streets. Even attacks on police stations went unanswered. Time and again, enforcement was abandoned because officials feared backlash. The banning of the Maccabi fans goes further than that. This was not a failure to act; it was the active enforcement of a lie in order to keep one group satisfied. That is not neutral policing. It is political policing. If the police can be pressured into excluding Jews today, they can be pressured into silencing anyone else who becomes inconvenient after that. Policing by appeasement does not stop at one case. It spreads. A free society depends on the law being applied equally, without fear or favour. Once the police begin deciding who is protected and who is punished based on pressure and intimidation, freedom becomes conditional. What happened in Birmingham is a warning. If it is not challenged now, the future will belong not to shared freedoms and equal rights, but to whoever shouts the loudest and applies the most pressure. And that should worry all of us.

A piece I wrote about a special book and winning an award. The book shows lessons from history and my feature starts with this incredibly pertinent quote from Einstein written 100 years ago: ‘A university is a place in which the universality of the human spirit finds self-expression. Unfortunately, the Universities of Europe today are for part nurseries of chauvinism, of a blind tolerance.’ Piece below 👇🏼

🚨 Guest post klaxon! Heidi’s husband @adammaanit here.  I just wanted to take a moment to share with you all, this photo I took of Heidi today. I had to get her to stop for a second as she was rushing out the door, recording equipment in tow, game face on. Yet another protest by assorted cranks and extremists was happening in Brighton, natch.  Instead of relaxing at home, she took time out of her day to document people shouting for the destruction of the country of my birth. Another few hours of quiet, methodical work: filming, noting, timestamping, reporting, flagging offences to the police. Because if nobody records it properly, it vanishes. This is what she does. Week after week. Often absorbing far more ugliness than any one person should have to hold.  Today she passed 50,000 followers here – built the slow way, the honest way. Truthfully, she’d never ask for support. So I am doing so now, quietly, on her behalf. I set up a Ko-fi because appreciation is simple and nice. I suggested it to her before but she air-swatted the idea away. It’s just a small way of saying: we see the hours you put in and we appreciate you.  This photo is one moment, mid-stride. She got annoyed with me for delaying her. She’s usually the one taking the photos not having them taken of her. That’s Heidi. If you’ve ever found value, clarity, or courage in her work – this is a way to return a little of that energy back to the source.  Buy her a ko-fi. She’s earned it. ko-fi.com/heidibachram

@sharrond62 @CJ_liberte As a teacher in London schools in the 1990s, we witnessed happy, physically active girls in Y8 go ‘on holiday’ to a country whose culture celebrates the butchering of girls. On their return, they refused to do any exercise and were broken. This is abuse. It has to stop.

My friend Eli was murdered today in cold blood. He was hosting a Chanukah party on Bondi Beach. We were friends for over 20 years. Eli devoted his life to helping others and to spreading goodness, kindness, and light wherever he went. It wasn't just his vocation, it's who he was. When I was 16 and studying abroad, I found out that my mum was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. There really wasn't anything to say, much less to do but Eli would sit with me and we would sing songs together. He was just there because he always showed up. The only thing Eli would want in response to this evil, is more good in its place. More light in the face of darkness. And more people to show up. Tonight, go out and attend your local public menorah lighting. Light the menorah with your family. Teach your children. Stand together. Show the world that darkness can never overcome light. Let's show up and make Eli's light shine even brighter! "DM me if you need a menorah" (The QT is Eli's last post) BDE Eli BDE

@GMB He is a man. Not a woman. We don’t want him in our spaces - is that so hard to understand? Men forcing themselves into places they aren’t entitled to be, and broadcasting it on tv, is a bit weird isn’t it?

Good Morning Britain
A trans woman, who has been a member of the Women's Institute for nearly 10 years, is being forced to leave after the organisation decided it can no longer offer trans women membership. The W.I. will restrict membership to only those born female from next year, because of a Supreme Court ruling that defines a “woman” as biologically female. Rowena Purdy says she accepts the W.I. must follow the law, but wants the government to revisit the ruling so medically transitioned trans women can continue attending.
