This is an account close to the Iranian leadership. We are now seeing the shape of why Iran agreed so enthusiastically to this "ceasefire". They will control and toll the Strait for the first time. They keep their nuclear program. They keep their missiles. What a disaster.

It's about money insofar as I need to provide health insurance and maintain a pad in case we need elder care. It's not about money insofar as I like my job.

@huh_wha_huh I'm curious how often the grandmother makes more money post-tax than their kids are paying for daycare, accounting for the additional value of not having to send one's babies to daycare. I suppose the crux here is grandmother vs. mother's income.

@kokeshimum I was. I worked 60 hours, minimum, for a large chunk of my 20s. 80 hours was pretty normal too. I traveled for work with literally no warning. I'd get to the office in the morning and have to go grab a bag and leave. Many of my friends were the same. We fucking hustled.

Why does Gen Z feel incapable of getting a second job, or part-time work? If he only has one job, he can work fifteen hours extra a week stacking shelves and save that for a house - and stop blaming other people for his inactivity.
