@Sargon_of_Akkad I'd understand if it was rather clearly just a WWII game? cuz at least a WWII boomer shooter there's no real implications, but I mean, there are weapons that are long, long past WWII in that trailer.

@nikgeneburn i hope this means as in, they are still part of the normal que and not their own 'que' system. But im down for having my wipe character vs non wipe because if they are their own que, i see this as a bad thing separating more players. PVP, PVE, Arena and idk if SPT still a thing

Exactly. It will be separate realm for those, who wants to experience all of the wipe related stuff - starting from scratch with everybody, progress through it. Seasons will have unique modifiers, like no flea, or open flea, or friendly scavs, or scav war etc. Lore based seasons, unique seasonal quests and so on. Also your seasonal character will have RPG style perks and debuffs selection before you will go in the season (you can make it really hardcore for you personally with some good bonuses). This is only the part of seasonal character feature. We want to make it interesting. More info will come later.
DesmondPilak@DesmondPilak

Honestly don't know how people are surprised, in what world would they start a seasonal character and have you play against people who have boxes of tier5/6 armor with max stats and ammo, makes 0 sense. The entire point is to have the seasonal characters basically function as old wipe characters, all the people "majority" who don't play anymore have a reason to come back and experience their favorite part off the game which is early game, and permanent players have something to grind for short period to get seasonal rewards or unlocks. #EscapefromTarkov

@LookAtMyMeat1 imo, if the game provably hasn't really been negatively affected, that stuffs fine, if not a good thing. Units changing model as they upgrade weapons and Armour in Medieval 2: Total War comes to mind

The Imperium is, on the surface level, a theocratic feudal empire. However, fans have debated whether it's fascist or not. Some gave compelling arguments for both sides of the argument. Also, the legendary Matt Ward said that the Imperials are fascists in a Reddit AMA. What Roboute intends to do will end all debate. If the Hive Lords, the nobility, the Inquisition, and all who adhere to the doctrine of Imperium Eterna don't throw 1001 wrenches into his plans and endeavors.

It's easy to hate the imperial larper, but do you have the strenght to hate the t'au larper? Suddenly the Imperium isnt fascist but instead feudal? Make up your minds. Besides if the Imperium nobility is pissed, I am happy. Recongrationistmaxxing, all hail the avenging son.
Shas'la Kais@shas_kais

I reviewed the lore about Roboute's 500 world project. I won't lie, it's looking pretty grim. Roboute is replacing the semi-independent systems of Imperial worlds (feudalism) with straight-up fascism, Astartes fascism! The lore treats this as a good thing. The only way that mankind can survive what's to come. What is GW smoking?! He is doing it forcefully. Sure, he asks nicely first, but if he is refused, his Ultramarines and their legions of Auxilia will force the worlds to kneel before Macragge. The disobedient rulers who cling to the old ways and/or are more loyal to Terra are replaced with Space Marines or mortal rulers who know their place. And all of them answer to the Tetrarchs, who in turn answer to Roboute, not the Emperor and certainly not the High Lords of Terra. The resources and manpower of the Imperial worlds drawn into the sphere of Ultramar flow toward Macragge rather than Terra. The wealthy industrial world of Garranox is on the brink of breaking itself as it attempts to pay the tithe to Terra and fulfill its obligation to Ultramar, so it's unrealistic for Imperial worlds to support both sides. Roboute plans to enforce his social and political reforms across hundreds of worlds. In the name of progress and enlightenment, Roboute is employing tyrannical means. It's a precursor for his new vision for the Imperium. The irony here is that what Roboute is doing in the south echoes what Abaddon is doing in the north. Following the theme of Roboute and Abaddon being mirror images of each other, Abaddon's Dark Imperium is a mirror of Roboute's expanding Ultramar. Both claim that they are honouring the ideals of the Great Crusade. Both want to save the Imperium from itself and reshape it in the image of Space Marine supremacy (in opposition to the explicit wishes of the Emperor). So, how is Avenging Son any better than the Warmaster? Imperial traditionalists and conservatives are raising alarms against this overstep by the Primarch. The nobility across many worlds within and nearby Ultramar are staging resistance. Inquisitors are monitoring the situation. And surely the High Lords are sweating bullets. Now, why is it funny? Imperial fans for years rejected the notion that the Imperium is fascist, but here is Roboute with his plans to blanket the entirety of the Imperium under fascistic rule. Truly, in many ways, Roboute is Wokehammer's greatest ally.

@LondonVoxCaster He isn't even bringing "le fascism" He's just returning he 500 worlds to how it was run during the GC. Fuck man if actual fascism was on the rise in the modern world no one would know what it looks like or believe those pointing it out due to everything being "fascist" nowadays

This is the most obvious announcement ever... If anyone thought you'd be able to have perm pmcs matching on the same maps with seasonal characters when there's stuff like radiation and mega storms going on (as per Nikita's examples), then I simply can't understand what would make you come to that conclusion

@Rimmy_Downunder "Worship the Emperor" itself is quite a broad thing which is another thing so many people forget. The Imperial Cult is vast, and likely has thousands if not millions of ways that big E is worshipped, differing on feudal worlds, Death worlds full of tribals or your basic hive, etc

The Imperium is feudal in nature. Any galaxy wide human empire basically has to be in 40k because there is no easy and reliable FTL comms nor is warp travel guaranteed Pay your tithe and worship the Emperor (in your own way) and the Imperium won't care how you pick your Governor

Big Time Patriot 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇮🇱🇺🇲
Rupert Lowe's just launched Restore Britain as a full political party—what a colossal waste of time and energy. All he'll achieve is splintering the right-wing vote, handing more seats to Labour or even letting the Greens sneak through in marginals. This isn't about saving the country; it's pure personal revenge against Farage after his messy Reform exit. He doesn't give a toss about the bigger picture—just wants to drag Nigel down with him. Pathetic ego trip that'll help the left win. Wake up, patriots—don't fall for it. #ReformUK #VoteReform #StopTheSplit #Farage #RestoreBritain #RupertLowe
