Here is my latest piece. ‍In George Orwell’s 1984, the "telescreen" was a tool of state-mandated terror. In 2026, it’s a consumer convenience we bought, installed, and powered ourselves. Why it matters: Three high-profile events in early 2026 have shattered the illusion that home security and smart devices are passive. They are, in reality, sophisticated targeting systems. 1. The "Search Party" problem During Super Bowl LX, Amazon’s Ring debuted "Search Party," an AI feature designed to find lost pets by scanning neighborhood-wide footage. The catch: The feature was enabled by default, effectively turning private homes into a warrantless surveillance grid without explicit owner consent. The law enforcement link: Ring’s previous integrations with companies like Flock Safety and Axon already allowed police to access footage for ICE and CBP operations. The risk: "It starts with searching for a brown dog," says Matthew Guariglia of the EFF, "but means the tech is there for face recognition and searching for suspects". 2. The "Vacuum" vulnerability A software engineer recently discovered a massive security flaw in DJI robot vacuums while trying to use a PlayStation controller to steer his own device. The breach: He gained access to live feeds, microphones, and floor maps for 7,000 vacuums across 24 countries. The geopolitical angle: DJI is already banned from U.S. government use. This incident highlights the risk of intimate data sitting on servers controlled by foreign adversaries. 3. Cameras as weapons of war On February 28, 2026, a joint U.S.-Israeli strike against Iran proved that surveillance is the ultimate reconnaissance tool. The hack: Mossad reportedly compromised Tehran’s traffic cameras years ago. The hit: AI algorithms analyzed footage of Supreme Leader Khamenei’s guards—their routes, parking spots, and schedules—to pinpoint his location for the strike. The lesson: The cameras Iran built to control its people became the instruments of its leader’s death. By the numbers The American public is reaching a breaking point, according to a March 2026 Rainey Center poll: 72% of voters are concerned that data from U.S. cameras is used by China to develop AI. 63% fear Chinese-made software in security cameras allows foreign access to footage. 68% support legislation banning the storage of personal data in Chinese data centers. The bottom line Congress is facing overwhelming public pressure to act. Proposed solutions include: Banning Chinese-origin software in U.S. hardware. Mandating warrants for law enforcement access to civilian footage. Requiring "affirmative opt-in" for all AI-powered surveillance features. Go deeper: Orwell’s protagonist, Winston Smith, lamented that "Big Brother is watching you." He never imagined we’d pay $299 for the privilege. 🚨 Do you understand what just happened to Anthropic.. someone on their team ran a production build of Claude Code.. the compiler generated a .map file.. which is literally a blueprint that reverses the entire codebase back to its original source.. and then they published it straight to npm for the whole world to download.. it's like locking every door in your house.. installing cameras.. hiring armed guards.. then accidentally uploading your floor plans to Google Maps.. this is the same company that told Congress AI is an existential threat.. the same company that spent $8 billion building "the most safety-focused lab on earth".. the same company the Pentagon blacklisted as a "supply chain risk" because they were supposedly TOO principled.. and they got exposed by a config file that any mid-level engineer would've caught in a code review..

WTF? It took Utah prosecutors 2 months to provide Charlie Kirk’s autopsy report after it was completed and more than SIX MONTHS to produce the photos of the autopsy after it was completely. Robinson’s attorneys got it on March 18th! They were taken in September! This seems to be a reoccurring theme with discovery throughout this filing.

Lee Zeldin told reporters he doesn't believe "anybody should be playing God with the weather" and that he has concerns about solar radiation modification, stratospheric aerosol injection, and marine cloud brightening. His stated policy: "Geoengineering, weather modification, stratospheric aerosol injection, marine cloud brightening — the list goes on where people have questions. And my position is that they deserve answers." What do you think?

Stop, you sound stupid. On the eve of D-Day, June 5, 1944, General Dwight D. Eisenhower issued an Order of the Day to Allied troops, which included a plea for divine support. He concluded the message by stating, "Let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking"

The Left's favorite move when confronted with evidence is to mock an argument nobody made. Nobody said the rank and file people who showed up yesterday were paid. What Asra Nomani has documented, with thorough receipts, is the infrastructure that put them there. The grants that funded the texting campaigns. The printing presses. The advertisements. The logistics coordination for parking and transportation. The sign-making sessions days before. The organizers caught on video stating their objectives explicitly. That's an industry. And it's flush with money. Not just from the usual Soros-adjacent networks... teachers' union grants, institutional foundations, CCP money, even federal science funding. Look at NSF grants in hard sciences and you'll find DEI compliance language promising to "raise up leaders from underserved communities." It feeds the same pipeline. Countless billions are being spent by organizers who openly describe their efforts in terms of color revolution and regime change. To kick Trump out. That's what Nomani reports on. That's what's leaking out to the public consciousness. That's what they don't want you looking at.
Asra Nomani@AsraNomani

Our investigation did not assert that protesters were “paid” or that “$3B revenue Marxist companies” exist — claims that protest industry defenders are trying to claim and then “correct” in Community Notes. The evidence instead shows an ecosystem of nonprofits, advocacy groups and political organizations with $3B in combined revenues operating within the same protest infrastructure to sponsor #NoKings. They include Marxist, communist and socialist groups. When protest industry defenders respond by refuting claims that were never made, they are engaging a straw-man argument rather than the reporting itself. It’s something most industries (and people) do when confronting scrutiny. Don’t fall for it, @CommunityNotes.
