@RobyPoto @Its_B_here Simeone's best bet is to play football to have a chance. If they decide to play haramball thinking that they can counter attack it will not end well for them

@Its_B_here No Simeone team/Simeone-coached player will be pro-active & looking to play football when having a 2-0 lead.

@ArjitGupta23518 @RobyPoto Exactly Barça need to weather the storm at the same time they need to be brave enough to take advantage of atleti press if they do a high press

@Rahulash97 @RobyPoto There might be an element of surprise from the ATM side. Given the simione tone in the press, i dont think he will defend with the low block. Instead he will play offence especially in the first half to kill the game off, Then in the second half switch to the usual haram ball.

People don’t realize it, but a two-goal lead for Simeone is literally the worst-case scenario, there’s no universe in which Barcelona doesn’t comeback. It creates a tactical dilemma: the margin isn’t large enough to justify a fully defensive approach, yet it discourages proactive attacking football. Thus leaving Atlético in an in-between state - a football Schrödinger superposition, they’re going to rely only on in-between rhythm killers hoping that every 50/50, mini-duel and momenthm-changer goes their way. Barcelona’s solution is simple, go out there and win, simple.

@NealGardner_ Balde should start. And if frenkie is fit enough he must start. Take Olmo out, keep Fermin instead. We need our press to be effective

I don’t know how to explain it or why, but De Jong gives me 110 percent belief in making a comeback.

Rashford gets cooked by some culers on here but when you deep it with the number of G/A he’s registered he’s literally the greatest loan signing ever. 😂

@_eadreez @sammy__dray No it's actually not so bad if it's 0-0 after 25. The first 20 odd mins is when Atleti will come all guns blazing to get that early goal and kill the tie. Barça got to weather the storm somehow.

@NealGardner_ I'd think twice before starting Rashford. We need our pressing to be at a good level. Rashford doesnt do that. And Fermin can hit the ball as well as Rashford does. He also has that little bit of pausa in him which is needed in the return leg. Fermin olmo lamine and Lewa up front

Rashford LW for the return leg or Fermin LW? I thought the latter did a really good job out on the left for the few minutes he played there.

@1Hungdotuan3 I feel like Arteta doesn't quite fit the classic Haram Ball requirements, idk, I think this needs closer analysis. Maybe an article or a pod.

I mean, I love watching Yamal, Pedri and Barca's attacking football. But a two-leg Arsenal vs Atleti CL semi-final has a dark allure I don't think I can resist.

@JosipFCB93 That's the first mistake. Second one is after rounding off the keeper he shot without waiting that little millisecond for a passing lane to open up. No pausa or else fermin or Lamine would have shot at an open goal

@sudhirsrinivasn They didn't seem off today. If anything they actually competed well this is the best they could do in an away ucl ko....the real test for us is when we have to face them at Wanda especially in the first 15-20 mins. Atleti will come knocking right the word go.

On slippery Metropolitano, with our extraordinarily suspect away record in CL matches? Maybe, maybe. Just got to hope. We did create so many chances. And Atleti actually seemed really off today.

@Rahulash97 @tomsan106 No. It’s a complex puzzle with too many variables. But without the early engagement part, world class is virtually impossible. Engagement from a *very* young age simply increases your odds and potential ceiling.

Show us your evidence, we’d love to learn from you? Show us what the process looks like from 8 to a world class player? 🙏🙇‍♂️⚽️
J Macc@JesseMcCunniff

@tomsan106 @afuzejenkins You could take a kid at age 8 who had never seen a soccer ball or field, and mold them into a world class player. No one is going to sell me that kids at age 5 are the difference between success at age 29. Focus on small sided ball, Futsol , 7v7 etc quit focusing on 11 man early

@PaulSpacey @tomsan106 Can we actually say a kid who shows interest right from age 1.5-2 can develop such ball mastery to eventually become world class baller regardless of his/her genetics, physiology?
