@AIDRIVR @wholemars @TechOperator AI4 cars owners who already paid for FSD are getting cringier. 😂 This will be fun when AI5 is available and the new cars can do Kung-Fu. "Loyal customers, subscribe and shut up. Stop being a just -a customer-".

Tesla Europe, Middle East & Africa@teslaeurope

Together with RDW, we have officially completed the final vehicle testing phase for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and have submitted all documentation required for the UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions. The RDW team is now reviewing the documentation and test results package internally. They have communicated the expected approval for Netherlands date of 4/10, shifting from 3/20 previously and we look forward to successful completion of this cooperation.  Following the Netherlands’ approval, European countries will be able to recognize this approval nationally. We are anticipating a possible EU-wide approval during the summer. Over the past 18 months, this approval has involved a series of intense documentation, development, testing, research & audits. Including but certainly not limited to: – 1,600,000+ km of FSD (Supervised) testing on EU roads – 13,000+ customer sales ride-alongs – 4,500+ track test scenario executions – Thousands of pages of written documentation for 400+ compliance requirements – Dozens of research studies into safety performance/results We're extremely proud of the work conducted with the RDW team up until this point. We very much look forward to the approval in April, and sharing FSD (Supervised) with our patient EU customers!

@BernieSanders You can't be that dumb... No workers, no customers. Maybe the investment is towards improve production, reduce costs and making things more affordable, or even compete against cheap labor in asian countries.

Jeff Bezos, worth $234 billion, plans to replace 600,000 Amazon workers with robots. Now, he wants to spend $100 billion to fully automate not just his warehouses, but factories in the U.S & other countries. Oligarchs are waging all out war against workers. FIGHT BACK.

Amazon MGM is risking over $200 million with its largest theatrical release yet. 'Project Hail Mary,' the Ryan Gosling-led sci-fi adaptation of Andy Weir's bestselling novel, premieres this weekend. The gross production budget was $248 million before tax credits, making it Hollywood's most expensive non-franchise sci-fi feature since Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' in 2020.

@FredLambert Well, if "catching up" just requires to "add more sensors than Tesla", we should have had 100% market share of autonomous cars for at least a decade.

@jackyharuhiko @ChinaEV_Eng_Lif I’m the opposite, I lost faith in 360 cameras after a close encounter with a bollard that didn’t appear in the screen. My only peeve during parking with the model 3 is the turn radius. I can never get high precision in the distance between lines in angled car parks.

@RandomAtom3 @ChinaEV_Eng_Lif I don’t have the expertise to comment whether vision only or vision+USS is better, I just shared my experience when I first got the Tesla. It was an expensive lesson. So now I’m reverting to parking by looking at the mirrors again after being spoiled by 360 cameras for years.

Removing the USS so early before the system was ready , it was “bold” and one more of those cases where Tesla spills have communicated more clear, that it would take some months for the system to mature. Every winter I wish I didn’t have them. 12 sensors less to clean. I don’t know if anyone has done any tests with the latest versions of Tesla vision.

@RandomAtom3 @ChinaEV_Eng_Lif That being said, I love the car. But these little annoyances are real. Having associated Tesla with cutting edge tech, I didn’t expect any regression from a car from legacy auto.

@jackyharuhiko @ChinaEV_Eng_Lif USS are not foolproof, reliance on them keeps repair shops in business. The field of view of the cameras doesn’t change, their lenses are fixed. The algorithms judging distances can be trained to adapt to the distortion, just like most humans.

@RandomAtom3 @ChinaEV_Eng_Lif One problem is that the rear camera is an ultra wide angle one, making it difficult to judge the distance by the eyes, i.e. it’s going to be difficult for computer vision too. Without the USS at the corners, distance for objects very close to the corners will be underestimated.
