A sequel movie to the ‘LORD OF THE RINGS’ trilogy is officially in the works. Plot synopsis — 14 years after the passing of Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin set out to retrace the first steps of their adventure. Meanwhile, Sam’s daughter, Elanor, has discovered a long-buried secret and is determined to uncover why the War of the Ring was very nearly lost before it even began. Stephen Colbert is co-writing the script.

senate.gov/about/powers-p… The filibuster didn’t exist until 1917. Somehow the republic existed without it and wasn’t held hostage by the minority party. It just took more work by the majority. As for confirmations, Thune has been holding pro-forma sessions preventing recess appointments.

Senator Thom Tillis@SenThomTillis·
I am one of the few members of Congress who has actually passed a voter ID law (on a bipartisan basis), which I did as Speaker of the House in North Carolina, and that’s why I proudly co-sponsored the SAVE Act. While I support strengthening mail-in ballot integrity, many states like Utah, Florida, Alaska, and Montana rely on the use of mail-in ballots to conduct their elections, and we should not be completely upending how states already securely conduct their elections. Even if this issue is fixed, the SAVE America Act still will not have the 60 votes required to pass it. While the so-called ‘talking filibuster’ has been floated as an option, there is a reason why previous attempts to utilize it in recent history have failed. A ‘talking filibuster’ would effectively make Chuck Schumer the new Senate Majority Leader, allowing Democrats to block every single Trump judge and executive branch nominee, and allow them to force endless votes on anything they want. Democrats would control the floor of the U.S. Senate until the end of the year. There are only two ways out of a ‘talking filibuster.’ The first is for Democrats to miraculously give up and allow Republicans to pass the bill with a simple majority. That is never going to happen, and anyone who claims it’s even a remote possibility is either completely misinformed or intentionally misleading the American people. The second way is for Republicans to substantially weaken or eliminate the filibuster altogether. I have made it crystal clear that I will never vote to do this. Eliminating the filibuster is a foolish and lazy idea pushed by politicians seeking short-term gain at the expense of causing irreparable long-term harm to our nation. Succeeding in eliminating the filibuster would significantly weaken the minority party, end the need for bipartisan compromise, and allow erratic swings in policy that would transform America for the worse. Those are just the consequences of a best-case outcome. During the last Congress, all of my Democratic colleagues currently serving supported nuking the filibuster to try to pass their own partisan election reform bill. Democrats were dead wrong to try to change the filibuster when they controlled the Senate, and Republicans would be dead wrong to try to change the filibuster now that we control the Senate. The only real path to address the American people’s declining confidence in our elections is for both parties to find common ground on legislation that supports universal adoption of voter ID, proof of citizenship, and other vital election integrity measures.

@saylordocs Most of that Bitcoin figure is comprised of exchange related transactions, not real world usage like with Visa and Mastercard. This is a highly misleading graphic.

Grateful @fema is extending temporary housing for North Carolinians impacted by Helene. This gives families much-needed stability as they move toward permanent homes. I will keep working with @POTUS and his team to implement long-term solutions that help WNC become whole again.

FEMA has approved a six-month extension for parts of its direct housing and rental assistance program for survivors of Helene. Details: bit.ly/4lAXDSD

What has @saylor done! There will be unlimited demand for this product. Which means there will be unlimited demand for Bitcoin. Which means that Bitcoin price must rapidly and materially reprice higher. Which means that $MSTR equity will experience unlimited demand. Which means that @saylor will get to hammer the equity ATM without limit as well. Which means that $MSTR will suck unlimited capital from both credit and debt markets. Which means that stocks will collapse and credit interest rates will explode higher (also collapsing). Which means that $MSTR will become the largest company on the planet. Which means that we are witnessing the next phase of hyperbitcoinization. Strap in.

AAPL wins because it sells $1,000 iPhones to customers who will buy a new one every 18 months. STRC wins because people will buy $1,000 a month every month forever. Few.

The narrative cycle around $MSTR has been fascinating to watch: Phase 1: “Strategy buying Bitcoin won’t work.” Phase 2: “Selling common shares to buy Bitcoin won’t work because the premium won’t last.” Phase 3: “The preferreds won’t work either. It’s basically a Ponzi.” Phase 4 (current): “Okay… it’s working too well. Strategy owning this much Bitcoin is bad for Bitcoin.”

I'm struggling to wrap my head around #STRC's potential. I know it's huge. I know it's going to continue to get bigger. I know that for every STRC share sold, Strategy sells 3 shares of MSTR. I know that as their balance sheet increases, their ability to raise credit increases. I know that as their credit rating increases, they'll get access to larger volumes of capital who will want to buy STRC & MSTR. I know this is an infinite flywheel. I know it's working. I know there are TRILLIONS of dollars in the fixed income market. I know that STRC is going to capture multiple %'s of that market. I know that for every $1 TRILLION of capital added to the Bitcoin network, it's market cap increases by $4T. I know that Bitcoins price is going to go up. I know that it's going to go up significantly. I know that as Bitcoin's price goes up, #MSTR's share price goes up more. I know this is an infinite flywheel. I know this is Bitcoin singularity. But the sheer SCALE of how much capital is going to be syphoned into the Bitcoin network over the next decade and beyond from these products is something my mind is struggling to really comprehend. It's absolutely insane.
Rohan Hirani@rohanhirani

I can see this played itself out yesterday after I looked at retroactively corrected trade data. Final March 9th STRC volume: $315M total. → $244M (77%) during regular hours → $71M (23%) during extended hours ($51M pre, $20M post) This could mean an est ~1,520 BTC acquired during market hours and ~440 BTC in extended hours... STRC just keeps getting more interesting.

Charles Ponzi was upfront & public about at least one of his schemes. He explained to the satisfaction of investors. We have no idea if BTC is gold or fool’s gold yet. Crypto is in its infancy. Countless iterations are being made in crypto. To declare it the eternal winner in crypto already is to be intellectually dishonest. All crypto may become dusty computer code or highly valued; this is the nature of speculation: be first and be right. biography.com/crime/a6514926…

@RayBowerNC @zaidlikesmstr The only problem with your thesis is that a ponzi works in the dark, not open, transparent and explaining to everyone what they are doing. Second, there is no asset being bought in a ponzi, or not enough is held on the balance sheet. Neither is true with MSTR.

When Saylor said he can buy more Bitcoin than you can sell, he really meant it. Yesterday was the best day ever for $STRC. Now that they can sell after hours, I suspect more than $135 million was raised. That's ~2,000 Bitcoin. Only 450 are mined everyday. Unsustainable.

It still strikes me how few people truly understand Strategy and especially the $STRC model. Some people think yesterday's purchase was "pure leverage", and they fail to understand that 2/3 of the capital raised was through the common stock. Other people still talk about the "liquidation risk". Mind you, they are not random people. These are professionals who in many ways I deeply respect. The knowledge level of regular Joe is much worse. As Satoshi said: "If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry." Just remember this: Their failure is our opportunity.

Honestly though… Which idiot whales are still selling thousands of OTC Bitcoin at a time to $MSTR at close to the bottom of a bear market? You’d have to have a stupid-low cost basis and be set already to not have the patience to wait a few more months
