@JTSPECTOR @midrangehoops @BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 And you cannot blame the GM if thats how the results fall. You can only ask the GM to control what they can control.
Even in that scenario. The Nets wouldve been able to get Ace who has true star potential.
English

@RickyCWhite @midrangehoops @BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 yeah but just saying the worst team in the league the past three seasons hasn't even landed in the top 4
English

The Brooklyn Nets NEED to lose to the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers. Two most important games we have had post-7/11. Do whatever you must do @joetsai1999
English

@erikslater_ @LockedOnNets If the answer is YES to the question “could there have been more done to lose this game?” then we need to stop excusing Marks’ mistakes for things in his control
Can live with the results if he does everything possible, but he never does everything possible when it comes to tank

@midrangehoops @BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 If we fall to 4th odds, he didnt maximize our chances. Thats in his control. He should be held accountable
Like it was in his control last year to maximize our odds which cost us VJ, Kon, or Ace
You realize draft involves more than picks 1 & 2 right?
English

@midrangehoops @BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 All you can ask is the GM puts us in the best position to get the best results. If he fails to do so then they should be held accountable when the results dont go our way
Its ok if we dont get top 4 pick if we have top 3 odds. He put us in the best position to get one
More->
English

@BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 @joetsai1999 if the goal was top 3 odds, we end up with 4th odds and because of it we don’t pick top 4, its time to move on from Marks. The fans have been patient with him for TEN YEARS.
English

@BrooklynNetcast @joetsai1999 The problem is they can do everything possible to lose against Wiz and still win because Wiz will be doing the same
This is why beating the Pistons was inexcusable. Why not going all out to lose to Kings and Grizz was inexcusable
English

@MizerakPeter @BrooklynNetcast He traded 3 Hall of Famers 3 years ago where are the high end talented players he got in return for it?
I don’t care about how many draft assets we have. People already excuse him for potentially missing on some of those picks because they aren’t lottery picks.
English

@RickyCWhite @BrooklynNetcast lol, no its not. He made the Bridges and Porter trades to put us in this position. There is a lot to control when you are talking about tanking, we still have a ton of assets for the future. If you wanted to fire him for mishandling the big 3 & hiring Nash, I would be with you
English

I try not to freak out about all of this but, the Brooklyn Nets have one playoff series win the last 12 years. I think it’s understandable to be nervous about not maximizing lotto odds this year. We literally have nothing close to a 1st or 2nd option of the future.
We also don’t have our 2027 pick. It’s all or nothing, or we suck for another 170 games before we get a shot at the lottery again.
English

@SAINTNET1 @JfromBk You schedule wins at this point in the season and it costs you a top 4 pick, you deserve to be fired
English

@PodThorn He’s made more highlight passing plays this year than Egor. He’s always had that in his bag.
This season was useful for figuring out which Nets fans really know ball on this platform. The way people talked about Ace was the ultimate barometer for me.
English

I did. Pod Thorn on this very timeline told you in clear and certain analysis.
SleeperJazz@SleeperJazz
Holy 🤯 Who knew Ace had this up his sleeve
English

@brooklynnets85 @BillyReinhardt Nets fans are impatient either way. There’s no in-between anymore. Not saying I’m not guilty of this from time to time.
A player has one good game and many of us are ready to build the team around them.
A player has one bad game and many of us are ready to waive them.
English

We can now say that all 5 rookies have had some moments which is good
Nets fans are so weird and impatient about development lol realistically we still have no idea what any of them will be, @BillyReinhardt pointed this out Dayron was a miserable basketball player until mid year 2
Bob Sacamano@BobSacamano_5
Nets fans spent half the season hoping Ben Saraf would fail and the guy is showing a lot in the last quarter of the season
English

@BillyReinhardt If we go into next season with Claxton as our starter. The FO hasn’t learned their lesson yet and we will continue to be a bottom 5 team.
English

Building out the Nets this offseason will be interesting.
They have a bit of a roster crunch heading into the offseason. The five 2025 draft picks, the 2026 1st rounder, MPJ, Claxton, Sharpe, Clowney, Mann, Minott, Williams. That’s already 12 players, not counting a potential 2026 2nd round pick as the offseason begins.
I’d look out for a consolidation deal.
I’d go into the offseason expecting that Michael Porter Jr., Egor Dëmin, and a big are guaranteed to start alongside the 2026 first round pick. I think the Nets need a solid veteran starter for the fifth spot if they want to take a leap next season.
Starters should look like:
‘26 1st/Dëmin/MPJ/Vet Starter/Claxton
Bench would be competitions galore — Traore v. Saraf for the backup PG spot, Mann/Powell/Ziaire/Minott/Wolf/Clowney battling for the 2-3-4 bench spots and then Sharpe.
English

@Os91413Jon @JfromBk Too old Jon. Everyone we need to draft needs to be young so Marks and NetsDaily can keep selling potential and flexibility.
Shocked they even drafted Wolf cause of this.
English

You see this #NetsWorld Mfers dropped the #8 pick to 14…

@erikslater_ @LockedOnNets Related to Sams lack of trust in the FOs evaluation & 0 rooks being on the NBA top 10 rookie ladder
Why didnt we question Marks more for hiring a new head scout AFTER our historic draft? Seems counterproductive to go after top scouting talent after cashing in 5 picks not before
English

#Nets fans, I'm recording another fan-take Friday episode of @LockedOnNets this week as Brooklyn’s season winds down and March Madness continue.

English

@erikslater_ @LockedOnNets What’re your thoughts on Sam Vecenie’s recent comments on the Nets FO?
“I don’t trust the front office to shift from this asset accumulation rebuild stage into winning. Based on what we’ve seen from their evaluation decisions.”
English

@JfromBk This reminds me how hilarious it is we hired a new head of scouting after drafting 5 1st rounders.
Not exactly a vote of confidence in the team we handed the keys to possibly the most important draft in franchise history.
English

@Joe_Martin13 I swear no one watched Ace Bailey play at Rutgers. To blame that guy for his passing issues when he was playing with barely D1 players was so dumb. Guy was and is a stud.
Harper and him barely got a chance to play together because of injuries.
English

Everyone clowned the Hornets, Jazz, and other tanking teams for falling in the lottery meanwhile they all landed franchise changers and drafted ahead of the Nets.
Underdog@Underdog
VJ Edgecombe, Ace Bailey, and Cooper Flagg all topped 30 points tonight The league is in good hands 🔥
English

@brooklynnets85 Nah they destroy promising players with their incompetence.
English

Ngl Kings deserve top 4 they’ve been pretty ethical

@PodThorn Without last year we wouldn’t been able to establish the losing culture Jordi has in place
We wouldve missed out on developing Keon Johnson, Cam Thomas, and Tosan
