We have been tirelessly optimizing Reth by hand. Huge kudos to the team. We have also almost cracked AI-driven optimization, by letting agents use our profiling tools and our benchmarking clusters. The results speak. Apply below.

Today, cross-border payroll routes through various intermediaries, each taking a fee. With stablecoins, payroll providers get lower-cost payouts, faster account funding, and new revenue streams. A practical guide for payroll platforms: tempo.xyz/blog/stablecoi…

We will be dropping Windows support in upcoming releases of Reth. Very few people use Windows for Reth nodes, and the cost on time is not worth it for us anymore. We appreciate the community's understanding, and we are excited to continue making Reth 100x better!

people should be forbidden from tweeting about their agent setup unless they also share an impressive codebase that was written with that setup, receipts or go home

We've got a few reports about Reth having increased memory usage since Fusaka. Please confirm your Jemalloc memory usage! Reth uses mmap, and mmap can create very large virtual memory mappings, but the OS only backs the pages that are actually touched. So the mapping size may grow, but the real memory usage is what jemalloc reports as ‘Allocated’, not the full mmap size.

@peter_szilagyi this is for benchmarking total memory allocated. if you are benchmarking time spent in malloc, then calls to malloc should be visible in sampling profilers such as samply, or in things like pyroscope

How is everyone in Rust world benchmarking memory allocations? Seems ‘criterion’ does not support it 😱

Tempo@tempo

Tempo’s testnet is live! Any company can now build on a payments-first chain designed for instant settlement, predictable fees, and a stablecoin-native experience. Tempo has been shaped with a wide group of partners validating real workloads including @AnthropicAI, @Coupang, @DeutscheBank, @DoorDash, @Lead_Bank, @mercury, @nubank, @OpenAI, @Revolut, @Shopify, @StanChart, and @Visa. Since our announcement, @brexHQ, @Coastal, @crossriverbank, @deel, @faire_wholesale, @Figure, @GustoHQ , @Kalshi, @Klarna, @Mastercard, @Payoneer, @withpersona, @tryramp, and @UBS have also joined as design partners. Dedicated payment lanes, stablecoin gas, deterministic finality, a built-in stable asset DEX, and programmable smart accounts are all live on testnet. If you’re building or modernizing payment flows, you can start integrating and testing today.
