@joel_ca_c @ItsAndyRyan Towering Inferno is one that stands out for me. It takes half the movie before anything goes on fire.

@ItsAndyRyan I would argue for the OG "Alien" as well - takes a good 20-odd minutes for them to reach the alien spacecraft, let alone the egg-chamber. Prior to that it's mostly a movie about interplanetary space labour relations.

Watched Predator again last night and it takes maybe 35 minutes (a third of the film!) for the Predator even to start 'appearing' as an unseen presence. Before then it's all the jungle mission. I think only From Dusk Til Dawn waits so long for the main plot to even start.

@johnrobson87 It did strike me as a very soft implementation. Maybe Dundee drivers are well behaved?

Went to Dundee, found a bus gate. Street view suggests it's fairly new!

Mary hasn't worked out that a 20 mph limit isn't forcing her to drive an average speed of 5.3 mph to church, & a 30, 40 or even 50 mph limit wouldn't make any difference. The only way she's getting there any faster is if she gets on her 🚲.

@CllrChasBooth Wouldn't this have happened anyway, even without Greens in government, with support from other parties? With Greens in government, presumably we get Green concessions on other things.

I'm glad that an EGM will be held and members can have their say. This is the right decision. I will listen carefully to evidence on climate action, but as things currently stand I'd vote to withdraw from Bute House agreement.

@nigelbagshaw Seems a bit weird to blame the minority partner, especially given they'd need all Con/Lab/LD to vote with them and to beat the SNP numbers. I voted green last time as the only viable way to get a bit less SNP, but I didn't expect miracles.

@Neilsby @adechapmanlaw Since all tax goes into a single pot, the type of tax is irrelevant. If you care about how much someone contributes, the amount of ALL tax is what matters. You really shouldn't care about that though.

@PidginPosting That's just a classic "I've lost my quiet shortcut" response. Not really trying to hide it even. The main roads aren't worse, it's just that they now have to use them.

MacLellan’s “source” should explain why, if Manse Road was previously so quiet, its temporary closure to through traffic for a few hours on weekdays has caused such congestion in the neighbourhood?

@cybergibbons Then there's all the "get in the cycle lane" people, and the "where's your helmet" people, who generally don't stop but are nevertheless in the same category.

@cybergibbons I've had the blocking thing too. Also had someone overtake me, then jump out to tell me I was going too fast. Another who did the same because they thought I'd hindered them while turning right.

I've had plenty of drivers play "toy cop". I've been blocked riding down a road because they eblieve it's one way. I've had them block left and right because I'm filtering. It's pretty common.
