I quit the best job I ever had to try and build what I wish existed in the world. Two projects I'm working on now: 1. The Peterman Pod - When I first started at Meta, the career stories of incredible engineers always inspired me. I aim to share transparent career stories that I wish I had more of back in the day. There are still many engineers who are heros to me that I'd love to bring on the show one day! 2. Compose - I could never really find what I wanted so I'm building the ergonomic keyboard I wish existed. Was fun seeing an elite athlete get into vibe coding because you could see the obsession build up and although we were supposed to shoot for 15 minutes he spent hours building things. Just generating ideas and trying them and he quickly got a feeling for what works.

Another silly but absurdly valuable thing i do with my ATHENA assistants on travel days is for them to send me an airport map with the various lounges, my gate and travel time between them... … also on their checklist is confirming which terminal I'm leaving from & giving me updated info from @flightawareon where my plane is (before i even get to the airport) This saves me another 30-60 minutes per trip of wasted time/drama
