Rachel Reeves has trashed our economy. Britain's inflation is the highest in the G7 - and that's before the Middle East crisis is taken into account. Growth flat. Record borrowing. Crippling taxes. Only @Conservatives have a plan to get Britain working again.
The Times and The Sunday Times@thetimes

🔺BREAKING Inflation held steady in February before the war in the Middle East sent oil and gas prices on an upward spiral, putting the UK on the cusp of another cost-of-living crisis #Echobox=1774422296" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">thetimes.com/business/econo…

The rules don’t need to be tightened up, the rules are clear. I would screenshot messages and post them onto my Ministerial private office group chat multiple times a day. It made sure that actions weren’t missed and that my ass was covered. Where are the McSweeney messages?
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Wes Streeting admits that he uses disappearing messages on WhatsApp and says that he expects the rules will now be tightened up He tells @TimesRadio: '"Yes, I do have disappearing messages. I also routinely make sure that when I'm getting incoming from people, whether it's a member of parliament asking me to look into something or whether it's someone contacting me about something that's health and social care related, that I then relay that to and through the Department of Health and Social Care. 'We also publish transparency returns in terms of the meetings that we have, including meetings with journalists. There are standards of transparency and accountability. Those things matter." 'I suspect that off the back of this, there will be a reiteration of the expectations on ministers, special advisers and officials so that people are clear on the rules and expectations. People will want to tighten up on those fronts inevitably'

Kemi Badenoch is doing a superb job, what a passionate performance at #PMQs. The cost of living is up because of Labour. Inflation, borrowing, taxes and unemployment were up before the Iran war. Currently, Labour are planing more tax hikes in September. They don’t care.

IF the Prime Minister cannot or will not answer serious questions, then there is no point in PMQs-it’s just bad theatre. He doesn’t deserve an audience

Downing Street is refusing to say whether Morgan McSweeney’s WhatsApp exchanges with Peter Mandelson were lost when his phone was stolen (after Mandelson was sacked as US ambassador because of revelations about his Epstein friendship). But surely the rule in government for any official as senior as McSweeney - then chief of staff - should be that their messages are backed up to the cloud, when those messages are about government business. If there was no backup - and if there is no government rule insisting on backups - that would be extraordinary. Also McSweeney had an iPhone - according to the transcript of his Met police conversation - so the default position is that messages would be backed up to the cloud. So if the Mandelson messages are not there, he would have disabled this facility

🚨WATCH: STARMER LIES YET AGAIN Kemi didn’t want to “join the war.” She only wanted to help our greatest ally, the US, by lending our airbase. This is all Trump wanted. Starmer DITHERED for WEEKS. He is NO leader. He gleefully pulled Johson and Sunak apart over the economic consequences of COVID and the Ukraine war.  Let's see how he now handles the economic consequences of the Iran war...  He and his lunatic Energy secretary have already severely EMBARRASSED the UK on the world stage!

I'm still trying to get round the fact that in 72 hours we've gone from "he lost his phone a year before the Mandelson scandal broke" to "OK, he actually lost his phone a week after we strategised how to deal with parliament trying to get his Mandelson messages".

There we go. Literally as I predicted. No.10 are clearing the way for saying the bulk of McSweeney’s communications with Mandelson have been lost. But the rules will be tightened in the future.

She literally did not want to leave the ECHR until a few months ago when her Attorney General gave her permission to change her mind and copy Reform. And on IRGC, almost 100 Tory MPs publicly urged Rishi to proscribe the IRGC in 2023. He kept refusing. Kemi was not involved in this debate because she was never interested in this major national security issue. On gender guidance in schools, the party utterly failed to fix the problem due to weak ministers. And we all know what happened with the hate marches. This is all fact. The list goes on and on. Same old Tories. They want everyone to ignore their record in government. Trouble is, millions of people will never forget their betrayal, lies and weakness.
GB News@GBNEWS

'There was no Cabinet meeting that I was in where the IRGC was discussed. We need to stop believing everything people say!' Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch disputes Reform MP Suella Braverman's claim the Tory Party chose not to proscribe the IRGC in the last Parliament.

@SuellaBraverman How about you doing the decent and honourable thing, resign your seat and let the constituency decide if they endorse your political bed hopping? Anything else is an affront to democracy and is evidence of your self serving ambitions. Until then, you have no place in any debate.

If I was someone close to @dpjhodges who gave a shit about his mental unravelling, I’d step in sooner rather than later. WWIII is potentially kicking off and he’s spending all day and night frothing about something that the vast majority of people couldn’t care less about.
