@cgvreid @Footballtweet But that frame was after he *shinned* the ball to Welbeck. Just look at the shadow of the ball. There's daylight

Danny Welbeck’s brace against Liverpool means he has now scored 12 times in the Premier League this season. It is the most that Welbeck has scored in a single league campaign. The second-most? 10, last season. Should he have been in the England squad?

@AgberoFcBAT @PoojaMedia Where are you getting your stats? Brighton's xG more than double Liverpool's. Also scoring 2 from 0.8xG isn't remotely a "once a season" thing. You really need to understand numbers

If you look at the underlying numbers, Brighton were actually outplayed. Liverpool finished the match with a higher Expected Goals (xG) than Brighton. Danny Welbeck scoring two goals from just 0.8 xG isn't good football it’s a statistical anomaly that happens once a season. Liverpool created the better chances they just lacked a finisher.

@NFilosofas @Pontifex Saint Peter being advised by Saint Paul isn't quite the same as the Pope being 'corrected' by a random guy called Nick on Twitter whose Sainthood must have got lost in the post

@RyFish @Pontifex Yep— St. Paul had to explain the Word to St. Peter when he was erring, and all Popes have needed the same brotherly counsel since. I suppose if the present pope didn’t want discussion of his missives, he (or more likely his SM manager) wouldn’t post them to X.

Pope Leo XIV
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex·
All men and women, especially Christians, are called to fix their gaze on those who suffer, on the pain of the lonely, and on those who are emarginated for various reasons, for without them we cannot build a just society. Only together can we build communities of solidarity capable of caring for everyone, in which wellbeing and peace can flourish for the benefit of all. Caring for the humanity of others helps us to live our own lives to the full.

@Pontifex Actually, my dear Pope Leo, all Christians are commanded to fix their gaze upon Christ... at least, that was the Apostles' admonition. And no Apostle ever gave the Communist commandment you just did. As The Man said, the poor we will always have with us.

@andy_rossiter76 @BBCPolitics Can you give me some specific examples of where taxes are higher now than they were? And these need to be policies created by Labour rather than just a hangover from the Conservative government

@BBCPolitics @BBCNews Unemployment increasing, cost of living increasing. The benefits for sitting at home and sponging , increasing. Use the reserves in the North Sea and create jobs. Create revenue, reduce the reliance and cost of importing oil and gas? It’s an easy solution.

@BBCPolitics Starmer & Labour don’t support the working people, they tax the working people & blame it on Tories. They then get a wage of £98k per year & claim everything on expenses, which the working people have to pay through taxes.
