@EamonnClark @CarriePrejean1 The Israel stuff isn’t complex nor sensitive. The Zionist are killing innocents.
English

You have been in my feed for the past few weeks. I have no clue who you are other than that you are a new Catholic who was involved with the WH RLC and didn't get treated well bc of "Israel stuff." Ok. Here are a few tips. I deal with bishops all the time and have had almost 10 years of experience in Rome.
1 - Bishops have many responsibilities and obligations and considerations. They have WAY higher priorities day-to-day than WH committee drama. It is a very tough job. Everyone wants to get something from them. They get hit, lied to, manipulated, pressured. They have to balance a thousand things. You and your "stuff" is one of many, many things they would like to just go away so they can focus on normal things like preparing homilies, visiting parishes, etc. The actual enjoyable stuff.
2 - Bishops do not tend to want to take controversial stances in public, or even be associated with public controversy, unless really necessary. See 1.
3 - One should dress a certain way around bishops and clergy. Sorry to say, your lack of awareness on this is telling, as it goes towards indicating a pattern of attention-seeking. I can appreciate that you may find that offensive. I don't mean to be. But it is what it is.
4 - There are vast pockets of people who will rally to support you who have not the faintest idea of what is really going on but who just HATE that people they think are ill-suited to the episcopal ministry are in charge. Sometimes those sentiments are legit. Often they are not. Frequently they are half-justified but are misplaced in particular cases. Don't make the mistake of thinking that bc some large group is supporting you that you are totally in the right.
5 - Conflict in the Church, like normal human affairs, tends to put truth somewhere in the middle. Probably if you were all in the same room and had an hour to talk it over, it would all be fine. And now you seem to want this conversation to happen, but you are trying to get it by "calling and writing" to 2 of the most prominent bishops in the country as if you were a high positive priority for them. They just want to get away from you now. See 1.
6 - Bishops are people too. They're imperfect. And you have to work with what you've got. Do not expect perfection. Wake up. It's the real world still. See 5.
7 - Praying for bishops is usually a better move than trying to "sit them down," let alone publicly implying that they are politically/morally/spiritually bad or compromised or whatever. It makes you look like a total hothead - bishops do NOT tend to respond that kind of tactic positively. You don't have the right to their attention, let alone their obedience, intellectual, moral, or political. Again, see 1. In fact, one of the most powerful ways to get bishops to treat you well is to say "thank you" and mean it. See 1 (again) and 6. This is compounded by the fact that you are a new Catholic. You are not going to be taken seriously on "Catholic things," let alone by men as accomplished as Barron and Dolan.
8 - If you must write a letter to a bishop, know that you are writing to his secretary. Write it on a single page, briefly summarizing your concerns in a respectful manner. Don't tell him what he "has to do."
Those are some thoughts. Maybe some extended silent reflection on the whole thing - and honest consideration of whether you are justified in your thoughts and words - is warranted. The "Israel stuff" is complex and sensitive. You probably should not have been on the committee to begin with. But now you have a choice of whether to continue to publicly entrench yourself against Barron and Dolan, making yourself into a fake martyr cheered on by angry midwits - even if you do have some merit to your argument - or if you will do the more difficult thing and sort it out quietly and professionally, which WILL TAKE SOME MONTHS OR EVEN YEARS without getting closure. See 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Peace...

Your Eminence,
I’ve tried calling you and texting you multiple times since the February 9th hearing on antisemitism which you and Bishop Barron were absent from. I wished to discuss this with you privately. But again, unfortunately, you’ve provided zero response to me.
However, today, you publicly made the post which I am replying to now.
You have publicly stated that you agree with Bishop Barron’s recently issued statements wholeheartedly.
Please answer this question: Why did you say to me in person on September 8th 2025, at 8:26 in the morning, “if they are going to remove you for your support of the Palestinians in Gaza, then they will try to remove me too”?
I explained to you at this meeting, that I was being asked to resign from the commission by the White House at the behest of our colleague’s Paula White and Dan Patrick. You expressed that you were shocked I was asked to resign in August because of my Catholic position on Zionism, and outspoken support of innocent human life in Gaza. You fully supported me as indicated by your words.
I had expressed to both you and Bishop Barron months before the February hearing that I was asked to be removed from this commission due to my Catholic beliefs and my support of the Palestinians in Gaza. Both of you said that would never happen. But it did.
Can you please explain to me and to all Catholics the meaning of this apparent contradiction?
If there is no contradiction between what you said to me in August and why I’m presently removed, then please explain.
I believe I was removed from the religious liberty commission in February for the same reasons I was asked to resign in August.

Cardinal Dolan@CardinalDolan
Below is a statement that my brother bishop, @BishopBarron – a colleague on the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty –recently issued. His comments are characteristically clear, and I agree wholeheartedly.

@Im_Jst_Sayn @elonmusk @pubity There isn’t. They’re refusing to build power plants or make tax payer foot the bill
English

@Im_Jst_Sayn @elonmusk @pubity It’s not about water it’s power. Please point me to all the nuclear power plants around the Midwest that would power this.
English

@ProxCentauriB @jpow_pow @elonmusk @pubity Don’t feed the troll. You’re correct, the deviation of these companies are doing to the Midwest with their data centers is a crime. No one here has enough power for these things and consumers will foot the fucking bill in higher cost like we always do.

@mehdirhasan Are you a minority or are you British?
You can't have it both ways.
English

Are you stupid or just bigoted? 1) The old 'Islam isn't a race' line is dumb and lazy because Muslims are largely a racial minority in the West. 2) Cleese never demonized Christians in real life or suggested they're not part of Britain.
David@belfastDGM
One, Islam isn’t a race. Two, John Cleese famously made fun of Christianity in Life of Brian. That was fun, though, wasn’t it, Mehdi?

And claims Shavkat is deadbeat father
"Today he rejected his own children, saying they resemble their mother too much- Yes, I gave birth to 4 children and am expecting a fifth. It turns out I give birth too much. If the father doesn't need the child, then the child no longer needs the father! May God give me the strength to raise my children."
