@ERCboxoffice just got done seeing the film. 6/10 imo, strong independent female as a support character ruined the movie imo. feminine He Man who uses He/Him pronouns is pretty gay. movie looks great, just the corny jokes and woke storyline was pretty ass cheeks. Skeletor was badass

Hay una especie de obsesión para que la taquilla de #MastersOfTheUniverse falle, quiero decir, hace dias que leo articulos con una narrativa en pro de que se estrelle antes del estreno, y me parece patetico sinceramente. Creo que a veces hay que disfrutar un poco mas las cosas.

@ElcuartoEs Muchas gente sabía de la peli solo porque se lo dije. Ni han visto anuncios, ni han visto carteles en la calle ni nada. Los críos no lo conocen tanto. Espero que el boca a boca funcione, pero si la gente elige más Scary Movie 6, una mierda como todas las demás, me cabreara.

LA ESTÁN AMANDO… ¿ENTONCES POR QUÉ SE ESTÁ ESTRELLANDO EN TAQUILLA? La nueva película de Masters of the Universe tiene alrededor de un 90% de aprobación por parte de la audiencia y, por lo que veo en redes, muchos fanáticos de He-Man están saliendo felices del cine. Y aquí es donde me surge una duda genuina. Si la película le está gustando tanto a la gente… ¿por qué la taquilla no refleja ese entusiasmo? Nunca he confiado demasiado en Rotten Tomatoes como medida absoluta de calidad porque muchas veces no representa lo que veo en la conversación real. Pero en este caso es aún más extraño: las críticas del público son positivas, los fans parecen contentos y aun así los números no acompañan. Quizá el problema no sea la película. Tal vez Masters of the Universe está pagando el precio de ser una franquicia que lleva décadas fuera del foco mediático. Mucha gente ni siquiera sabía que existía una nueva película de He-Man. Otros crecieron con el personaje pero ya no siguen sus aventuras. Y las nuevas generaciones simplemente no tienen el mismo vínculo que nosotros. Porque después de verla, sinceramente creo que tiene muchas cosas que el público suele pedir: acción, aventura, personajes clásicos, una historia fácil de seguir y ese espíritu épico de fantasía que tanto se extraña en el cine actual. Por eso me cuesta entender la desconexión entre la recepción de la audiencia y la taquilla. ¿La están amando? Parece que sí. ¿La están viendo? Ahí parece estar el verdadero problema. #Mastersoftheuniverse

I've been saying it for a while now. MOTU is about what it means to be a man and finding a balance between brute strength and empathy... stuff that He-Man has embodied for 40+ years. Glad to see people finally ignoring the grifting haters. Kindness. Empathy. Humanity = Strength

@idiocraciayt No identifico nada de lo que dices, la peli fue la ostia, y épica. Recomiendo verla.

Sobre He-Man se pueden decir tantas cosas buenas como malas. Es como ver un capítulo de dibujos. El guion es un sin dios, a nivel técnico es un despiporre muy entretenido. Surfea la parodia todo el tiempo. No es un peliculón, pero ni falta que hace. Skeletor da vergüenza ajena.

Yea this is one and done. It almost feels too small....kinda like a streaming flick. It doesn't have that epic feel of a Cinematic Blockbuster. Although I really enjoyed my time with it, I don't think we need a whole franchise of this. But who knows, Rings Of Power has 3 seasons

@LauraRbnsn You are too young. But not I don’t think it was massive. It was a cartoon from 83 to 85. And then there was the spin off She-Ra and the movie and the remakes. I was a fan as a 10-12 year old. But I certainly won’t be going to the theater to see it.

Are people.... fans of He Man and Masters of the Universe? I have some dim awareness of it having been a show but I literally could not tell you a single thing about it. Is there some massive fan base that explains making a blockbuster about it?
