MOANA live-action remake, starring Dwayne Johnson, is now tracking to bomb. Costing around $200M, it has had pretty bad pre-sales for a while now and will open to $50M-$70M domestically.

Hello. This is our own projection, there are other sources who are more optimistic and others who believe it can go even lower than $50M. We understand that part of the reason for this movie to be doing so badly is its release date too close to Minions and Toy Story 5. Moana has a huge fanbase but perhaps they’re just not into this new Moana.

SUPERGIRL pre-sales have stalled a bit, but so far there is no sign that it could bomb. Tracking for a $55M-$65M domestic opening, with an outside chance of $70M with great walk-ups, and ~$50M if reception and walk-ups are not good. At this point, we can only see a debut in the $40M range in case of a toxic reception like ‘Joker 2’. We’ll publish our review on Wednesday morning.

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY has already surpassed $40M in domestic pre-sales revenue. It’s now on track for a domestic opening above $250M, Hollywood’s biggest debut since NO WAY HOME ($309M adj.).

MICHAEL will surpass OPPENHEIMER ($975M) to become the highest-grossing biopic of all time next weekend. The King of Pop’s biopic has hit $959.5M this Sunday.
