We are a DFG-funded consortium of theoretical and experimental physicists, biologists, chemists and clinicians, studying non-equilibrium processes in biological systems - e.g. How do immune cells move & find their targets? How do bacteria adhere to surfaces & cause infections?

The last evening was concluded with a vivid conference party!

Next to all the science, networking was continued in some off-campus activities (climbing parc, visit at World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte, a long hike, & more sports🧘‍♂️🏃‍♀️).

Together with our colleagues from @SBCF1 we held a joint German-French Cell Biology session – thank you to Florence Niedergang, Isabelle Tardieux, Cristina Cardoso and Joerg Hoehfeld!

After the pandemics it was so nice to have intense poster discussions again!

Here some impressions from our #DGZ International Meeting @DGZ_info, held in Saarbrücken, with @SFB_1027 #CellPhysics2023. ~300 participants enjoyed exciting data by invited speakers, in 28 short-talks & on 135 posters. The science shared was outstanding, thx to all who joined!
