SWAT’s inaugural event - Big Action, Bigger Purpose!

Open drain on Saraswati Road, Santacruz West (at the corner of PNB bank, Santacruz West branch) posing a serious hazard to pedestrians. This is an accident waiting to happen. Request immediate repair and securing of the grate. @mybmcWardHW @mybmc please take urgent action.

A constructive step forward as residents unite to meet with the Mayor of Mumbai to raise important concerns for a cleaner and more livable city.

In a joint initiative,  residents from three Mumbai residents groups — the Gulmohar Area Societies Welfare Group, Santacruz West Action Team (SWAT), Pali Hill Residents Association (PHRA), and the citizen collective Keep Juhu Clean — met Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde on Wednesday to raise concerns over #pollution and #noise beyond permissible limits from construction sites. Representing nearly 2,000 residents from Gulmohar, JVPD, Santacruz and Bandra's west Pali Hill, the groups flagged deteriorating air quality, excessive construction noise and poor enforcement of pollution control norms @SWATALMofficial

Together, another step forward towards the community we all deserve.

What we see in the above visuals is shouting, reckless honking, streets being littered and drinking on the footpath. We ask for accountability because our locality deserves better.

This is NOT nightlife - it’s nuisance at 2AM, outside Mercii, 81 Crest Building, Linking Road, Santacruz West. We at SWAT stand for peace, safety and civic responsibility. We urge the concerned authorities to take prompt and firm action @mybmc @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice
