Hindu women were blackmailed, fed beef, coerced to convert, and sexually assaulted by their Muslim team leads. For four years. Their complaints were ignored. The women worked in @TCS, that just reported a revenue of 2.6 lac crores. TCS is yet to issue a statement or an apology.

@CreativMark @Ofer_binshtok Very simplistic PoV. Ideas germinate from freedom, not colonization or subjugation. Ideas and technologies, existed way before the islamic/Mughal rule took hold. While they looted, killed, converted and burned libraries and universities, society went into preservation mode.

In 1193 Muslims burned Nalanda, the greatest library in the world. It burned for three straight months and millions of ancient manuscripts were destroyed forever. This is real Islamic colonialism. They didn't just steal resources. They tried to destroy India's entire culture. The British looted gold. The Muslims tried to burn the soul of Bharat (India).

@sanjeevsanyal @sanjeevsanyal, notwithstanding the above factors, what credence should we put in the theory that US was setting up the new hegemonic world order and didn’t see colonization as part of it and wanted a vassal state in India region resulting orchestrated breakup!

There are frequent debates in India about what exactly forced the British to grant us Independence in 1947. It was a combination of factors that included a war-weary Britain, and the long-running political mobilisation in India. However, the fear of guerrilla warfare by the revolutionaries, and the possibility of a revolt in the Indian armed forces (esp after INA & Naval revolt) played a major role. We do not need to debate this because Prime Minister Attlee has explicitly noted this in the Transfer of Power papers (Nov 1946). Just look up Vol 9, doc 35, page 68 (199 in the pdf): apnaorg.com/wp/books/trans…

Today I decided to upload all PDFs I have of various Shastras and other related books to cloud storage. Turned out I have thousands of PDFs including many rare books / manuscripts taking 21GB+ storage. Would it be a good idea to provide access to everyone to the entire thing?

Happy Pi day + IISc, Bangalore High-Energy Physics connection! In the 14th century, Madhava found the first infinite series for pi. In the 20th century, Ramanujan found incredibly fast-converging series for pi. In the 21st century (2024-2026), IISc Bangalore proved that these series are the secret code for High-Energy Particle Physics. A brand new discovery from the IISc, Bangalore, has linked Ramanujan's pi formulas to the fabric of the universe. Researchers (Arnab Priya Saha & Aninda Sinha from the Centre for High Energy Physics) found that the specific mathematical structure Ramanujan used to calculate pi is the exact same structure needed to solve eqns in String Theory & High-Energy Physics. They were trying to calculate how high-energy particles interact & stumbled upon a new infinite series for pi that looks exactly like a modernized version of Ramanujan's work. It turns out Ramanujan's obsession with pi was a blueprint for how black holes & subatomic particles behave.

Sanskrit has >2000 verb roots (dhātus). But do you really need to learn them all? I had Claude analyze 270 Sanskrit texts, and it found that with just the 192 most common dhātus, you can understand ~90% of verbs in literature. Below are those 192 dhātus, ordered by frequency:

@VividhaBindu This Estee Lauder was also behind acquiring the already digested Aveda. Feels like the final stages of digestion is upon us. All the pieces has been extracted, we are left deeply divided, trust is eroded for own people to invest in own. Looks pretty bleak.

I had purchased one face mist and three oils from Forest Essentials twice after which, I coincidentally came upon a piece of review on their website and that changed things for me. I stopped buying. There was a review by a Muslim woman, thanking them for changing the logo, which earlier used to be Laxmiji aur Dhanvantri I couldn't make out from the used bottles I had. She had written to Forest Essentials to change logo because it was against FisIam. That M lady had threatened to stop buying and so, to please her, Forest Essentials changed their logo and went against their majority buyers which are Hindus till date. Muslims but Shahnaz Hussain mostly.
JIX5A@JIX5A

I just learned from this video that Forest Essentials will soon be fully owned by Estée Lauder, and honestly I’m really upset about it. Forest Essentials was created because its founder couldn’t find products that truly reflected the beauty of Ayurveda. It was supposed to be about honoring ancient Indian wisdom, traditional ingredients, and a philosophy that values balance, nature, and care. So seeing it end up fully owned by a massive Western beauty conglomerate is deeply disappointing to me. Ayurveda is not just a trend or a marketing story. It’s thousands of years of knowledge and tradition. And it’s painful to watch something built on that heritage be absorbed by companies whose main interest is profit. Maybe the products will stay the same. Maybe they won’t. But for me, something important has already changed. Because of that, I won’t be buying Forest Essentials anymore. I would rather support brands that genuinely respect and protect the traditions they come from. I want to support Indian brands owned and run by Hindus, brands that truly honor Ayurveda and respect the sacred knowledge it carries. Ayurveda is more than skincare. It’s our culture, our wisdom, and it deserves to remain in Indian hands. Forest Essentials → being fully acquired by Estée Lauder Companies Kama Ayurveda → majority owned by Puig Dr. Sheth’s → majority stake acquired by Honasa Consumer (the parent company of Mamaearth) These deals happen because global beauty groups want access to India’s fast-growing beauty and wellness market, especially areas like Ayurveda and natural skincare.

After decades of partnership under various government schemes, MSC has made the strategic decision to return to its roots as a private, self-financing institution. This transition allows us to stay true to our mission while evolving for the modern world. Here is what’s changing: Preserving Tradition: We remain deeply committed to the traditional study of the Shastras. Modern Innovation: Our brand-new, progressive curriculum integrates ancient wisdom with cutting-edge technology. Future-Ready Students: Students will now gain expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), and manuscript decoding. Career Empowerment: We are training the next generation of IKS teachers and equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s job market. "The students are the main beneficiaries of this move." This journey is made possible by the generous support of individuals and corporates dedicated to preserving our rich cultural heritage. We are excited to empower our students with a unique blend of heritage and high-tech skills! @dpradhanbjp @SanjeevSanskrit @sain57356 @SanskritChannel #SanskritDiwas @davidfrawleyved @sanskritiias @TheSanskriti_ @kalyan97 @annamalai_k @yajnadevam @Rtam86418021 @SanjeevSanskrit @Kar_Sas123 @subhash_kak @AGeorge56445 @AkhilKumarSaho8 @vikramsampath @DeepakChopra @jsaideepak @itisatp @BjpSashi @PMOIndia @DrManishKumar1 @ARanganathan72 @sanjeevsanyal @kalyan97 @dushyanthsridar @RajVedam1 @mmpandit @periyanatt96807 @Ugrashravas

Savitri Mumukshu - सावित्री मुमुक्षु
In 711 CE, on a day chosen by astrologers, Mohammed Bin Qasim launched his invasion of Sindh, leading his Iraqi, Syrian, and Arab troops to wage Jyh@d on India. Years earlier, Raja Dahir of Sindh had magnanimously given asylum to the Alafis - descendants of Prophet Mohammed who had fled Mecca with 500 followers due to inte-religious fighting among Muslims. It was a fatal act of humanity that would cost Hindus everything including the future of India. Qasim's army spread like a cloud of locusts butchering, violating, plundering & destroying every one and everything non-Muslim in its path. Thousands of Hindus and Buddhists were forcibly circumcised and converted by the sword. One of the first men converted forcefully was renamed Maulana Islami. He was sent to negotiate along with a Syrian noble to Raja Dahir’s court. The Syrian emissary bowed respectfully to the king as he entered his court, but the newly converted Muslim, Maulana Islami stood stiff, refusing to bow down to the Hindu Dahir. He declared loudly that his loyalty now belonged only to "the king of Islam." and he would bow before no one else. Raja Dahir was shocked behind words. A dangerous precedent had been set - as that decisive moment foreshadowed an ominous and irreversible truth - change of faith to Islam meant a permanent change of nationality. The new Muslim convert's loyalty lay only with the Ummah (the Muslim brotherhood), all commitment to his own motherland, culture, community and faith had been foresaken forever to Arab imperialism. With it - the earliest spark of the separatist Pakistani mindset was lit. It was a moment that would forever haunt the Hindus of India. Our traditional belief in ethics, kindness and humanity had paved the path for the seeds of our own destruction to make its way inside our home. On June 16, 712 CE, Raja Dahir and Bin Qasim faced off in a brutal final battle. Victory was still possible - until betrayal struck from within. It was none other than one of the trusted Alafi lieutenants of Dahir, one of those very descendants of Prophet Mohammed -whom Dahir had once protected with asylum - who secretly leaked the Hindu army's plans to Bin Qasim. The result was swift and bloody: the brave Raja Dahir was beheaded, his daughters violently captured to be sent as slaves to the Umayyad Caliph, his army decimated. His widow committed jauhar (self-immolation) rather than be captured, but Sindh had been captured and India's history irrevocably changed. India didn’t fall to invasion alone. It fell to the ultimate betrayal - and to the deadly cost of misplaced trust when faced with the predatory mindset of Islamist fanaticism.

Raja Dahir: The original GOAT of Sindh. 👑 Chose honor over surrender in 712 CE and stood his ground until the very end. Kudos to the students of Aror University for this beautiful relief sculpture.

This is the first AI cut. And it will send shockwaves. Remember: Jack is one of the greatest founders of all time. He created this platform that we’re all on, and has been early to many technological shifts. And Block was doing very well as a business. So, for him to cut 40% of headcount in this way is a signal to everyone in tech: get good now. Become indispensable. Work nights and weekends. Learn the AI tools and raise your game. Or you might not make the cut, as an employee or as a company. I know. That sucks. But capitalism is natural selection. The market is unforgiving, because you are the market. After all, it’s not like you’re buying some random gallon of milk from the store; you’re always buying the best product at the best price. So too for apps: your customers are always installing the best piece of code they can get. And because AI is going to create new winners, if you aren’t the best in your market, someone may become better with AI. Particularly with the new agentic workflows. To be clear: Block’s severance is generous by any measure. 20 weeks of pay, six months of health insurance and vested equity, all of that goes far beyond any typical package. Jack did his level best to cushion the disruption. The laid off are a temporarily unfortunate class, as opposed to a permanent underclass. But had he not leaned into the AI transition, he might have had to lay off more people, slowly, and over time, as faster competitors went after his market share. How would they do that? Sure, AI isn’t a panacea by any means, but the closer you are to software engineering the more aggressively you need to embrace agentic workflows. The AI companies are already doing that, and places like Stripe, Shopify, Coinbase, and now Block are pushing hard on this area. There will be overcorrection. But the fundamental technical innovation is real. And you need to either disrupt yourself or get disrupted.
jack@jack

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack
