Merz isn't wrong in saying he's "disillusioned" with the US & Israel over Iran because they "claimed at the beginning that they could solve this problem within days. Now I must recognize: It is not solved." But he is in no position to complain. He applauded the war and as a result, owns the outcome. This is typical of some EU leaders who support and help facilitate the US's worst instincts, and then pretend they are innocent when the foreign policy adventure predictably goes wrong.

Ukraine is imposing sanctions on Israel before the EU. Let that sink in.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський@ZelenskyyUa

In any normal country, purchasing stolen goods is an act that entails legal liability. This applies, in particular, to grain stolen by Russia. Another vessel carrying such grain has arrived at a port in Israel and is preparing to unload. This is not – and cannot be – legitimate business. The Israeli authorities cannot be unaware of which ships are arriving at the country’s ports and what cargo they are carrying. Russia is systematically seizing grain on temporarily occupied Ukrainian land and organizing its export through individuals linked to the occupiers. Such schemes violate the laws of the State of Israel itself. Ukraine has taken all necessary steps through diplomatic channels to prevent such incidents. However, we see that yet another such vessel has not been stopped. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to inform all partners of our state about the situation. Based on information from our intelligence services, Ukraine is preparing a relevant sanctions package that will cover both those directly transporting this grain and the individuals and legal entities attempting to profit from this criminal scheme. We will also coordinate with European partners to ensure that the relevant individuals are included in European sanctions regimes. Ukraine counts on partnership and mutual respect with every state. We are genuinely working to enhance security, particularly in the Middle East region. We expect that the Israeli authorities will respect Ukraine and refrain from actions that undermine our bilateral relations.

“I strongly condemn political violence against the man who kidnapped my predecessor and slaughtered all his bodyguards execution-style”
Delcy Rodríguez@delcyrodriguezv

We strongly condemn the attempted attack against President @realDonaldTrump and his wife, Melania Trump. We extend our best wishes to them and to all attendees of the Correspondent’s Dinner. Violence is never an option for those who uphold the values of peace.

It happened so suddenly and quickly. I had just come home, I was so excited to see Baloo and cuddle with him, like I do every day. He was my best friend, my little baby. I found him lying on his bed, crying loudly for help. I didn’t know what happened. I first thought he had fallen off the table and hurt his legs. I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t used to seeing him in pain. Immense pain. I immediately took him to the hospital, hoping that he would jump and play like he used to before. Little did I know he was dying. He had a heart problem, something I had no clue about before. He maybe tried to convey a message to me that I didn’t notice before, or he didn’t want me to know that his health was deteriorating, or that he was in pain. I don’t know. I don’t know... I first met Baloo at the rescue. Back then, I wasn’t entirely for the idea of adopting an adult cat or a cat from the shelter. Baloo wasn't like the other cats at the rescue. He was separated from them in his own room because he was afraid of them. He was so innocent and afraid. According to the shelter I brought him from, he was moved from one shelter to another, and before that, he had an irresponsible owner, who likely traumatized him. I was so lucky the shelter personnel picked Baloo for me. They picked the perfect friend for me. A friend whom I will never forget and always miss. How could anyone abandon an adorable, pure-hearted, cuddly and healthy cat like him? I asked myself that question over time. He had no aggression issues, and the only time he caused a "mess" was when he was very scared. He was so innocent. So adorable. I will always miss coming home, tired but excited to see him. I will always miss giving him infinite kisses and brushing his fluffy hair. I will miss him jumping on my lap to cuddle and sleeping there. I will miss him sleeping in my arms every night and waking me up every morning. I will miss his warmth, his cuteness. I will miss playing with him, feeding him. I will never forget what he taught me. To be kind and care for others. To always be there for someone you love and to show your love unconditionally. He taught me to become a better person. He will always have a special place in my heart. I want to write so much more. But the more I think of it the sadder I get. Life is sometimes shorter than you first anticipate. Baloo had just turned 8 years, and I adopted him when he was six and a half, barely had him for two years before he passed away. I used to think that I would have him with me when I graduated from uni. I was so excited to study and do my best, for him and me, so that once I got a well-paying job, I would spend even more and spoil him as much as I could. Because whenever he is happy, so am I. At the animal hospital, there were no viable options in saving his life, and I had to agree to euthanize him to stop his pain. I would have paid any amount to keep him alive and well but when the only alternative was for him to suffer pain and slow death, I couldn't let this continue. Please forgive me for anything I did wrong. I wish I could do more for you. I wish I could have done anything to help you live a longer life. I am so devastated. You passed away so young. I love you Baloo. I will always love you.❤️ Yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever. You will always be my favorite cat, my best friend, my soulmate. My everything❤️ Rest in peace, my soulmate🕊️❤️ I love you Baloo, I love you.❤️ I love you Baloo❤️

When I think about Habermas I can only remember his whitewashing and apology for the Gaza genocide. The rest of his work has vanished into antiquarianism and irrelevance. The genocide apology is unfortunately relevant and timely

This psycho, while “championing a feminist-led foreign policy”, visited Israel 6 times during the genocide at a moment where birthing mothers in Gaza were having their uteri removed without anaesthesia to stop bleeding, & she praised Israel’s “humanity” & “deep care” for civilian life She then openly endorsed Israel’s systematic bombing of hospitals & schools & made up atrocity propaganda to whitewash Israel One of her senior staff had to take a sick leave for almost a year b/c he suffered “a moral burnout” being around her. Other German diplomats told me her top priority was how she looked on camera, who her hair looked, her outfits, shoes… She even became UNGA’s president by stealing the spot from one of her colleagues at the Green Party Even in this interview, whenever Stewart brought up Netanyahu or Israel, she would deflect & refuse to utter a word. A true monster!
