A 30 year legacy that started with @CRY_UK & @SSharmacardio. The opportunity to be part of this great research. It was all worth it. The long travels, 1000s of result letters, discussions with bereaved families& the teamwork involved to screen. Congratulations to @maclachlan_h

New research shows routine ECG screening in young people can detect hidden heart conditions and save lives. One in 300 were found to have potentially life threatening disease.❤️‍🩹 👉 citystgeorges.ac.uk/news-and-event…

A huge thank you to our host Amanda Hack MP (@Hack4Labour) with support from Liam Conlon MP (@LiamConlon2) who joined us at Portcullis House on Tuesday for an important drop-in session for MPs. Your support is invaluable as we work to show the importance of proactive cardiac screening in young people and to raise awareness of the impact of CRY’s research and continue our campaign to save young lives. This event attended by over 30 MPs, was an important step toward the re-launch of the Cardiac Risk in the Young All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in early 2026, and we look forward to building on these conversations and encouraging involvement in the months ahead. It was also amazing to have the support of CRY's Consultant Cardiologist @SSharmacardioand Former CRY Research Fellow Dr Saran Marwaha at the session, offering their insight into the latest research about Young Sudden Cardiac Death

Last week we attended an MP event in Westminster with @CRY_UK to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death in young people: 80% of which occur with no prior symptoms. Screening saves lives. Huge thank you to all the MPs who showed their support for the vital work @CRY_UK does. ❤️
