Such an honor to receive this award from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese! Thanks to all my past and current students for making my job so rewarding. I’m so proud of all you have achieved. I want to thank my wife Jennie Dodds for all her support over all the years. Xxx

This is a sneak peak of Jaydah’s Yr.12 Physics project as part of her Build a Teaching Tool task. She made a Faraday Motor. Initially she used Salt Water as the conducting material, then swapped it out for Gallium which is more conductive @IOPTeaching @ausphysics @sydney_physics

Great to share my Hot Wheels Physics Lab with other teachers from around Australia in a free online Zoom. As you can see in the video, students launch the cars horizontally off the bench and do all the calculations to land the car in a cup. @stansw @ASTA_online @PhysicsANU

Collecting Muons with the Edumod Muon Detector from MDetect at 39’000 ft from Melbourne to Brisbane with @VirginAustralia. The rate count went from 3.1/s at ground level to 120/s at altitude. That is a 40x increase! @astroduff @Perimeter @Swinburne

LEGO LIGO! This is a working Lego Duplo interferometer complete with optical components from @EdmundOptics I got to present this at Ligo Hanford @LIGOWA @LIGO this week and I’m happy to report it will live in the control room! @ARC_OzGRav

A momentous day in the life of a Physics Teacher. Lunch with Michael landry the Observatory Head at @LIGOWA It was great to tour the insides & outsides of LIGO alongside the amazing Jackie Bondell @jtkst10 from @ARC_OzGRav & @ARC_DMPP. We drove the length of one of the 4km arms!

✨Einstein+ 2024✨ at the @Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in 🇨🇦 . This 1 week Teacher Program was truly amazing! Many thanks to the facilitators who made this week so enjoyable & a great learning experience. #Eplus2024 I look forward to sharing what I learnt.
