BREAKING: Iran is now demanding fees for ships passing the Strait of Hormuz. They want it paid in cryptocurrency. In other words, Trump blew up Iran, had 11 US military bases attacked, over a dozen military killed, hundreds wounded, had a more extreme leader take reign and spent $44 billion all so that Iran could start charging us money to ship our oil. He then tries to sell it as a victory. What a joke.

Point in case of a wildly biased and/or premature assessment under the guise of “substance” Iran always knew it could close the Strait of Hormuz. They didn't “learn” anything…That is why they did it on day 1. This was always essentially their only move. They didn't bully anyone, either, lol. Nothing indicates they did so. They did what they were allowed to, based on a measured US approach. If the US didn't want to take a measured approach, we would put special forces on the ground and use any means necessary to obliterate any chance they had at closing the Strait. The Strait was only closed because of this. It is now open, with as you said, a wildly different-looking Iran than when it was previously open—virtually the entire leadership is dead. Navy, airforce, ballistic missile systems, and air defense systems all in ruins. I bet Iran will absolutely not be able to charge tolls to the world for using the Strait, bookmark this, and check back. Negotiations haven't even begun and you're already presupposing the results, because of your bias.

If the ceasefire holds (big if), the fairest way to “score” the war in Iran: - clear operational successes. Large number of IRGC killed, Iranian Navy largely destroyed, etc. - a massive tactical failure. Iran learned they can bully the Gulf States with impunity. They learned that, absent a ground invasion and a weeks-long naval mine-clearing operation, we can’t do anything to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. They can close it again any time they want and send the world into an economic tailspin. Iran (so far) retains all of their uranium, and intelligence estimates put their missile stocks in the thousands. They can still launch attacks on the region at a time of their choosing, and they’ve learned they can largely outlast a massive US/Israeli bombing campaign. TL;DR: we killed a bunch of people and blew up a bunch of stuff, all to end up in a worse position than we were in with Obama’s nuclear deal.

@ltbadpuppy @Greg_Cat @JBlunt1018 It certainly wasn't by the invocation of article 5. That's only happened once, and it was the US invoking it after 9/11. Guess what happened? Go ahead, guess.

This is absolute disrespect. There is basically one reason alone, We’ve spent the last stretch picking tariff fights with allies, pressuring them publicly, and treating long-time partners like shit. Moments like this especially during something like an Iran conflict become their opportunity to push back. The U.S. has historically had leverage not just because of power, but because we led, we gave more than we took, we built alliances, and people trusted the relationship. Keywords: Gave more than we took That’s why countries bent over backwards for us. If we shift to purely transactional or confrontational, then the relationship changes. And once it changes, everything becomes fair game.

I will admit it. I LOVED Trump unhinged when he was on the campaign trail. He was outspoken, politically incorrect and fearless in his brutality. And I loved it. In the wake of so much political correctness, it was refreshing to see a man who didn't care what people thought. He was a breath of fresh air. He wasn't a politician and that's what I loved about him. The problem is, our chickens have come home to roots. We said, "let Trump be Trump." Now here we are. On the brink of nuclear war. Pray for America. We did this to ourselves. And to the world.

Of course that Jason phaggot asked me a question and then blocked me bc he knows he was about to get destroyed lol what a pussy Maybe someone will screenshot this and show it to him. Firstly We learned that they don't and never prevented transmission. So all you Vax Nazis pearl clutching about "keeping others safe" was bullshit just like we told yall it was from the beginning. Me taking that shot had absolutely no impact on anyone else's health. And we learned that there's a non trivial chance that taking that fucked up shot causes some seriously fucked up side effects. It's wild how these people will still come out and embarrass themselves publicly like this.

New conspiracy just dropped, that the pilot rescue was a cover for a failed spec ops raid. This is now a conspiracy on the left. I just can’t. How do people live in this constant state of conspiracy. And don’t blame anyone else. You are responsible for you.

There is a moment in every relationship when you cross a line so spectacularly that no apology can quite cover it. America crossed that line. Then kept going. Since Trump took office, the United States has threatened to annex its closest neighbor, tried to grab a Danish territory, attacked its oldest allies, declared the EU an enemy, mocked soldiers who died under the NATO flag, praised the man those soldiers were buried defending against, hosted Kremlin officials in the actual Capitol building, rigged European elections in favor of parties that want to tear Europe apart, betrayed Ukraine in front of the entire world, and slapped punitive tariffs on every friend it had left. At some point this stops being controversial foreign policy. It becomes a declaration of intent. So when Washington arrived demanding allied support for what history will likely record as the most catastrophically misconceived military adventure since someone thought Iraq would be quick and easy, the answer was no. Non. Nein. No. Because you do not march alongside a country that spent two years making clear it considers you the enemy. America did not lose its allies. It fired them. Systematically, gleefully, and on camera. And now it is losing a war. Alone. The way you fight when you have spent years ensuring there is nobody left willing to stand next to you. Wars reveal true colors. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1
Ari Fleischer@AriFleischer

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US. France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.) Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors. NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.

@allenanalysis Both malfunctioned? Are US planes that crap? Looks like they were shot down or can't leave and hit by artillery or drone. It's hard to buy the "malfunctioned" story.

🚨 🇺🇸US Special Forces destroyed two American military transport aircraft on the ground in Iran during the rescue operation. Both planes became stuck during exfiltration. Rather than leave them for Iran to capture and reverse-engineer — operators blew them up. This is standard protocol. You never leave advanced American military technology in enemy hands.💪

@HanaKapust86817 @AR59C @Microinteracti1 Nato made it this long because it's strictly a defensive alliance. It was designed this way so that one mad man would not be able to hi jack a multi nation army to do his bidding. This is what Trump is trying to do. He started an illegal war.

@Scott_Az @AR59C @Microinteracti1 I'm indeed not expert on NATO although I remember its basic history .It was made mainly aginst Soviets but USSR dissapeared 35 years ago and this is really surprising that NATO made it so long without breaking apart .

@HanaKapust86817 @AR59C @Microinteracti1 This is not true. All you've done in this exchange is illustrate that you do not know anything about how nato operates or why that alliance was built in the first place. You're making unhinged assumptions based off of personal opinion and feelings.

@HanaKapust86817 @AR59C @Microinteracti1 If a nato ally is preemptively attacked and that ally invokes article 25, yes, allies would help. It's happened 1 time in the past, and it was the US invoking article 25 after 9/11. Allies answered the call.

@HanaKapust86817 @AR59C @Microinteracti1 That's not how this works. We started a war. Nato allies were never attacked. Iran is defending itself. If Iran preemptively attacked the US, Nato would have helped. It's a defensive alliance.
