As I’m coming out of the gym this morning in Newport Beach I see a Mom struggling almost falling trying to get her baby and stroller down a flight of about 8-10 stairs because the elevator wasn’t working. I ran as fast as I could to grab the stroller and make sure she was ok. After I calmed her down I grabbed the bottom of the stroller, she grabbed the top and we slowly carried the stroller down. She was VERY thankful and her beautiful blue-eyed baby boy was ok. What really upset me was that there was about 10 people standing right there, much closer than me, that just stood there and watched this Mom and her baby almost fall without even flinching. They were too good to put down their fancy purses or their expensive coffees to help this woman. When someone, stranger or not and especially a mother with her child, needs help in our community, you HELP them. PERIOD. We need to do better.
