SB26-121 would help with overtime mandates on Colorado’s family farms. As a teen, I milked 120 cows twice a day starting at 2 a.m. That hard work taught me responsibility, bought my first car & gave me freedom. I’m grateful to our local family farm. Farming is seasonal &

Extreme polarization will only harm the industry; we must find a middle ground. This is why I sponsored SB26-121, to ensure that everyone in the agricultural community can maintain a good quality of life. I thank the senators who support this bill and our small farms.

Over the last 5 years, 2,800 Colorado farmers have left the industry. Producers are struggling to sustain operations, and employees cannot afford the resulting reduction in hours. These policies risk harming small farms while favoring large operations and accelerating automation.

The wolves in the CO legislature are yet again attacking agriculture in our state. "There’s a lot of partyline policy that comes out of this building, and it's bad policy.”

@GovofCO signed two bills today, HB26-1067 and SB26-064, to support Colorado’s agricultural community. Also on this day, the governor proclaimed March 24th, 2026, as #AgricultureDay, recognizing that family-owned ranches and farms are the backbone of the state.

Last night was the annual steak fry sponsored by the #LoganCountyCattleWomen, where our members enjoyed some local beef and met with the farmers and ranchers who put food on our table.  The Senate Republicans will always fight for these hard-working Coloradans and are grateful for all they do.

Yesterday, it was announced that Colorado is facing a roughly 1.5 BILLION dollar budget shortfall. This hole was dug by the continued failures of the misguided majority who refused to limit spending and prioritize the real needs of Coloradans. In 8 years of Democratic control, Colorado has gone from operating with regular budget surpluses to facing annual cuts.
