Happy #MandelaDay! Today we remember Nelson Mandela as a brave women's rights advocate, whose efforts to bring freedom and justice to women and girls remain an inspiration for us all. His legacy lives on.

Based on testimony from @NCTR_UM & @OSI_BIS, the Committee on Indigenous Peoples issued an interim report today that lists six recommendations focused on supporting Survivors, families and communities searching for children who died at residential schools and associated sites. 👇

My father has always been a role model, treating others with kindness and serving his province and country. Today, he retired from his role as Speaker of the Senate of Canada after a long and notable career, and his portrait will now hang in these halls. Congratulations, Dad!
