@sumanthraman TVK vote bank is very vocal and noisy, hence the over-estimation.

Almost every Tamil journalist I spoke to today says TVK will take mostly AIADMK vote and much smaller number of DMK votes. Many of them are predicting 150-160+ for DMK alliance. Also almost all of them are giving Vijay at least 20% overall vote share. I am completely gobsmacked. I still maintain Vijay will largely be an urban phenomenon and I do not expect him to cross 15% max in rural areas, maybe even dropping to 10% or lower in some seats. I believe there is serious overestimation being done of TVK's vote share. Maybe this post won't age well or maybe it will. Let us see on 4th May. #TNAssemblyElections

@me_ganesh14 In short, INC has the chance to revive the party in Delhi, Punjab and WB.

AAP at least took 1 year to get broken but if TMC loses West Bengal election on May 4 then the party will get finished on May 5th because it is a party of 10% Celebs, 30% Contractors, 50% Gunda, 10% Mamata or Bhaipo loyalists. First 90% will always go with a party in power.

@sreeramjvc @KartiPC One observation. Before SIR, the votes in the name of dead/invalid voters could have been polled by the agents in connivance with poll officials. So I think the quality of votes is better this time and truly reflects the electorate.

I feel bad for @Seeman4TN anna 😔. Although I oppose his divisive politics I have admired his hardwork🫡. Its really painful when I sense that the vote which Seeman got by working hard on ground for 10yrs, Vijay will easily be getting that vote in 1 election without working much.🤷‍♂️

@ThisIsAnantha In my reading , BJP wants the NDA to just scrape through the majority mark and finish less than 125-130 as an alliance. It perceives that will be more advantageous than securing double digits.

BJP Tamil Nadu brought in all the heavyweights for the campaign. Modi led from the front. Piyush Goyal personally took charge and ensured everything ran smoothly. Annamalai made sure he was present for all BJP candidates. Where the party missed a trick was in running a rather low-profile campaign. Strange, by BJP standards. There was no central theme tying their messaging together. Much of the communication appeared AI-generated. The one piece that went viral was the “What happens when you press the button for DMK” film, adapted from the Bengal BJP campaign. Beyond that, there was little evidence of a professional touch in their advertising. No film seemed to have been boosted on Instagram, X, or YouTube. There were no noticeable ads in newspapers. Influencer marketing was also missing. This felt like a missed opportunity. There was a realistic chance to convert up to 10 seats. A stronger media push could have supported candidates across constituencies. Hopefully, the leadership takes note and executes a last-minute push.

@rohini_sgh States weightage within the union matters. And absolute numbers matter too.

Delimitation is representation of people and not representation of states. Every vote has equal value in a democracy.

Mere percentages & ratios alone don’t matter, absolute numbers & delta also matter. Difference in absolute numbers widen, that’s not acceptable to the South.

@KartiPC BJP vey well knows that at times one needs to lose a battle to win a war.

The attempts to bring in a delimitation & gerrymandering bill has been stoutly resisted & thwarted. The required 2/3 votes of those present voting in the Lok Sabha was not obtained by the government.
