Arsenal haven't had a shot on target since half time. Absolutely dreadful way to try and win a league title when goal difference is clearly going to be the factor

Let's now look at the constituency which saw the lowest turnout. Palayamkottai. 2021: Registered Voters: 2,73,379 Votes Polled: 1,59,444 Turnout: 58.32% 2026: Registered Voters: 2,55,130 Turnout: 68.97% Approximate Votes Polled: 1,75,963 So in the lowest turnout constituency the absolute numbers have increased by 16,519 votes. Both God & Devil lies in the details. In the place which witnessed the highest turnout the absolute numbers have decreased while the seat which had the lowest turnout the polled votes have increased. This is just another election and does not deserve the hype centred around the entry of an actor. Read the basic signals. Go back to fundamentals and you would get this election right.

As of now around, 27 lakh more people have voted in Tamil Nadu yesterday than those who did in the 2021 Assembly elections. That's an extra 4.8%. Might end up at an additional 5% turnout. That is significant. Don't know why one side is downplaying this. #TamilNaduElections2026

@sraghu82 @sumanthraman SIR did not delete any votes that was cast in 2021. It merely removed the dead persons, duplicate electoral rolls. From this, no one can come to conclusion that the 50 Lakhs who voted in 2021 are kalla votes and now they are replaced by genuine votes!

Is this the first time, that the net change in number of voters from previous election is positive? You expose yourself with your logic of trying to paint this as some magic! Net change between 2016 and 2021 - 23.3 Lakh votes Net change between 2021 and 2026 - 23.43 Lakh votes Where is the magic here?

SIR has led to the deletion of nearly 70 lakh names. So, the denominator has gone down. Last time, even amid the Covid pandemic, 4.62 crore voted in TN. But, this time, the figure is around 4.85 crore. With all the hype about poll and Vijay's entry, there's a rise of only about five percent which would have taken place anyway.

SIR deletion impact is pushing up the polling percentage in Chennai (close to 12 lakh deletions), while districts with comparatively fewer deletions are showing lower percentages. Nevertheless, the absolute number of votes statewide is clearly much higher than in 2021. #TamilnaduLegislativeAssemblyelection2026
Sanjeevee sadagopan@sanjusadagopan

Extremely surprising to see #Chennai polling more than Nellai, Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin and Kaniyakumari voters. & what's happening in Niligiri? Only 50.20%, almost 8% less than the state's average. #TamilnaduLegislativeAssemblyelection2026

82.24 per cent of 2026 is only slightly over 73 per cent of 2021 because Gyanesh Kumar’s hastily done SIR reduced vote base considerably. Every election, Tamil Nadu adds 30 to 40 lakh additional votes and this is a pattern since 2001. To get at least to this, the % has to be 90!

Ideally you would expect your captain an experienced campaigner in this format for many years to bowl the last over rather than giving the ball to a young bowler playing his second game. Just my thoughts.

ECI's press release reports 84.69% turnout. With a total electorate of 5.73 crore, an 84.69% turnout translates to roughly 4.85 crore votes polled. In comparison, 4,63,44,590 votes were cast in 2021, an increase of around 21 - 22 lakh votes in 2026. This youth revolution etc is all bunkum and baloney.
