I am going to harp about modern dads for a second. I have noticed this with predominantly White dads as well. No, you are NOT “Baby sitting” your own children, you are spending time with them, You are raising them. You are teaching the next generation. You have the honor of having children, Act like it. Cherish every damn second, and have more children as well. Turn off the TV, set down the cellphone, DESTROY YOUR TABLET. And just….be present. Play with them, teach them, raise them. This isn't some edgy point I'm making, btw - it's completely uncontested. Scores below are IQ norms for those educators and others who go on to GRAD SCHOOL. I don't dislike teachers at all, do classes at the local high school myself, will note that HS teachers do do better (109 IQ for Masters and EdD holders), just etc. But, the entire context of my post was an educator insulting white-collar, on-twitter parents by saying they are not smart enough to teach. That's insane.

Teachers post lower SAT/IQ scores than any other white collar profession except social workers.

🚨: Oklahoma high school principal seen charging at and disarming a school shooter at Pauls Valley High School. Principal Kirk Moore is being called a hero after getting shot while stopping a school shooter. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, was a former student who said he wanted to shoot up the school “like the Columbine shooters did.” While taking down the shooter, Moore was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover and says he is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible. "I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible so that I may continue my life’s work educating the next generation of Oklahoma leaders.
