@emkenobi This is par for the course for Star Wars. George asked David Lynch to direct RotJ and he refused. (He got a headache from being explained what a wookie was.) George also tried to get a few of his buddies to direct the prequels and they also said no. It’s a tough sell

@BladeCunningham As a Lakers fan this is so damn true. The Pistons are so fun to watch. They create so many fast break opportunities with their defense and will bully their way into the paint however they can. Cade is also just a great orchestrator of this team. Lack of 3 pt shooting be damned.

@BonesAndEllie I truly hate the way people discuss art on this platform because neither of these directors are soulless filmmakers. Even something silly like The Monkey clearly comes from a deeply personal place.

@tvsilverscreen I think what’s frustrating to me is that the character being so curmudgeonly is the entire source of conflict for the show. There’s no story if she’s super polite and mild mannered. She’s a compelling protagonist *because* she’s so hostile towards such an amiable antagonist.

@emma_mackenziie I mean if Cade’s team hit all of their shots he gives them he’d apparently average like 16 assists a game (Lamelo 13) Stats this early in the season are all kind of outliers cause of the sample size
