Yaxley-Lennon’s appropriation of Jesus Christ is equivalent to nailing Him back to the cross. This is not Christianity - it is violent pagan-influenced hate. Christ is present in those they trample underfoot. Resist. Pray. Repeat.

It was wonderful to have @bishopSarahM preside and preach at our regular Monday Eucharist in the chapel at Fulham Palace, with the encouragement, as we celebrated St. Clare, to find those habits which help us go on making a home with God in our lives daily.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

Let us forcefully reaffirm today that the seeds of anti-Semitism must never again be allowed to take root in the human heart. Remembering the suffering and tears of the victims of the Holocaust, let us repeat: never again!

This is the task of the Church over the next 4 years - speaking truth to power on behalf of our marginalized neighbours regardless of the blowback. ✊🏽

When you worship power, a sermon on the love and mercy of Jesus sounds like “spewing hate.”
