@Malusi_Reloaded @elonmusk Without freedom of speech, propaganda is what you get, and your ability to contradict it is curtailed. Which is why so much of what was going on during COVID was a travesty. The powers that be were telling lies and half truths and those contradicting it were censored.

Propaganda does not begin where speech ends. A lot of propaganda happens in fully open environments. That is why it works so well. Be honest… your whole argument is basically “it cannot be propaganda because I was allowed to hear it.” That is not how propaganda works. The funniest part is acting like propaganda only exists where speech is censored. No. It thrives where powerful people can flood the zone and call it truth.

You know what’s funny about this? I went to Alabama for FEMA training awhile back. Thought the Klan would be right there waiting for me as I got off the plane. Turned out to be one of the friendliest places I’d ever been. Sat and had dinner with a Sheriff’s Department from Mississippi when I had work in that state. I don’t think I’d ever laughed so hard in my life. Almost all of them had Confederate flag tattoos, but treated me like a brother. Meanwhile, I’ve faced more racism, prejudice, and hate from leftists who swear they’re the most tolerant and open-minded “Coexist” people out there. I’m thinking in the Newsom household, their kids didn’t have to leave their house in order to learn about racism, sexism, and bullying.

It wasn’t until tonight that I realized that after I first saw real combat [not we got shot at or the truck behind us took a hit… but I pulled a guy out of a wadi and put him on a bird missing parts and I really just hope he lived combat] I don’t have any pictures smiling. A lot of political opinions and overtures on this app. Even from combat vets like myself. Maybe we all need to take a stroll down memory lane and remember that day when we stopped smiling for pictures. When it was no longer exciting, but terrifying. Not the day we lost our nerve, but the day we actually found it. The day that the hypothetical became reality. The day we took a punch to the face and had to get up off the mat for more rounds. Remember that day and remember those who’ve lived it themselves in the past few weeks, most of them not combat MOSs. All of them heroes. I am so damn proud of the men and women who serve this country. They are not without fear. They are brave with it.
