@Iconicament3 Complaining isn’t enough by itself, you have to also negatively affect sales. Most of the people playing games like GoE are male, so female players being mad isn’t going to hurt sales to the same degree.

My takeaway is that women should complain more, and do it loudly and violently. Every male-led game release should be met with the same level of discourse and disgust, and any story that treats a woman’s ending as collateral damage of misogyny should be review-bombed to death.

🔥🚨DEVELOPING: God of War has replaced their anchor protagonist Kratos for his wife deceased Faye in the new “God of War Laufey” spin off. It is currently facing mixed options as some gamers claim they are being forced to play with a woman they never asked for. This game takes place in afterlife of the gods called the Everywhen where the blood thirsty gods from multiple mythologies are at war for the land.

@GaaryWrld It’s fascinating how your politics influences your aesthetic tastes. Once you understand this it all makes perfect sense. It’s also fascinating how the wokeoids claim to not understand this. Are they lying to push an agenda or just stupid?

For as good as the Star Wars EU and even stuff in the modern extra canon material can be, it’s easy to forget sometimes that probably 90% of people don’t care. Many have the mentality that if it’s not on screen, it doesn’t matter. A lot even refuse to watch the animated stuff.

@Dillonverse I don’t hate female protagonists, I hate how often modern franchises replace male leads with female ones. It’s gotten really old.

holy shit you're dumb lmao ff7 is one of the most successful ff games ever and why ff7r was the "break glass in case of emergency" games automata revived the nier series and has a ton of merch/crossovers stellar blade sold an estimated 6.1 million in 2 years, which is BIG for a new ip mostly locked on the ps5 ecosystem also most these games are far lower budgeted than tlou2 and hzd, which got high ass fidelity and and in tlou2's case SUBSTANTIAL budget increases from famously high amounts of crunch tlou2 sold a shitton but any potential profits are eaten into by crunch and marketing costs

Many have been complaining about “uglified female characters”, and the argument is that “people like beautiful things and men are the main gaming audience”🚀 Okay so where is that main audience from supporting these games? Yeah, they did manage to sell and some get to fund a sequel, but their sales are nowhere near The Last of Us, Horizon Forbidden West and the likes. I’m not saying I don’t want more games like these. I can enjoy games and characters of different kinds as long as they’re well-made and appealing to me. But my point is why is the talk about beauty only used online for outrage culture, yet when it comes to actual sales, far fewer people show up? Judging by the level of outrage over God of Way Laufey and Intergalactic or Horizon, you’d imagine a game like Stellar Blade would cross the 10m mark in a year or so. But that wasn’t the case. So do you actually want attractive characters or is it just small internet minority that wants outrage revenue?🤔

@kabrutusdeid Chuds are the indigenous people of the gaming community, woke colonization must be pushed back against or we will continue to lose our identity Replacing Kratos with a WOMAN is like building a datacenter on a sacred burial ground

> create a franchise centered around a male protagonist > watch the franchise become a huge success, with the protagonist becoming its most iconic character and building a massive fanbase around the world > decide to ride the success of that established franchise by creating a new female character to replace the male lead and push a feminist agenda > completely alienate the original fanbase, tell them the game isn't for them, and then blame them when the new game fails when will they ever learn?

@GameReviewGuy I’m fine with women in games, it’s feminism I hate. Japanese made games tend to not be heavy on the feminism.

To the people bitching about playing as a female, do you have any issues with Claire from Resident Evil 2? It seems like it's only CERTAIN females. How about Silksong? How about #SilentHill 3? How about Nier? Are you going to play #GTA6? Guess what!? Female lead. Oh no!

@TheRPGDummy People don’t hate women in games, people hate feminism in games. Games developed in Japan tend to have a lot less feminism, so gamers are ok with Japanese games with women.
