@SmirkingFool Anecdotal but it 100% feels that way. But to be fair I’m of the mindset there is always some major thing that allows us to say “industry is dying”, whether it’s the loss of DVD’s 20 years ago or AI today. If that’s how you think, that’s how it will be be. At least for me.

Working on an audition I’m gonna tape tomorrow and I just gotta say — what a wild industry. What a ride. Is there another industry where you regularly have “interviews” that could quite literally change your entire life? Don’t get me wrong, it’s all gradual and I wouldn’t even be getting these auditions if it weren’t for the years of other work, but it’s truly crazy to think one 3 minute tape could change your tax bracket.
