"Democrats are empathetic to a fault." “This isn’t the oppression Olympics.” “I’m tired of being lied to.” “The system is set up for the wrong people.” The Baseline Report is a comprehensive look at how people are actually living and what they actually believe. Watch:

Susan Collins is a rubber stamp for the worst admin in history. Claims that I would endorse her, implicitly or otherwise, ignore my track record supporting Democrats to take back both chambers. As I said months ago, I find Platner's Nazi tattoo and his commentary about it personally disqualifying. If it were me I'd vote for someone else in the Maine Democratic primary. Regardless of what happens in Maine, Democrats need to take back the Senate and I'll keep working hard to make it happen.

Being proud that "people are spending more" during a time of extreme inflation and record-low consumer sentiment is like bragging that "people are swimming more" during a flood

Trump only cares about his billionaire ballroom and his slush fund for violent criminals who assaulted police on January 6th. I'm laser-focused on what Americans actually care about: getting costs down.

I hear it from folks every day – costs, especially housing costs – are still way too high. My ‘Housing Affordability Agenda’ was part of the first legislation I introduced this Congress to bring down costs and cut through red tape, and I’m proud to see those priorities advance.

Consumer sentiment is at its lowest point since the University of Michigan's survey started in 1952, back when the man responsible for this was a bright-eyed 6-year-old "earning" $200K a year from his father Fred Trump's real estate empire.

It’s clear that both the policy decisions like sending troops to our cities and Secretary Hegseth's purge of generals have been demoralizing to our service members.

Trump’s $1.7 billion slush fund — to pay rioters who attacked police officers on January 6th — is corrupt and unconscionable. The Congress must stop it.

Earlier this week JD Vance claimed American manufacturing jobs were bouncing back-- but as @ddale8 points out, this is a lie. We've lost 77,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump took office.

Since Republicans failed to extend the ACA tax credits, Americans who bought their health insurance on the marketplace saw their premiums go up an average of 26%. Now, because some folks are choosing to go without coverage, health insurance companies are set to increase premiums by even more – for everyone. This Administration’s policies are already making it impossible for Minnesotans to put food on the table and gas in the tank. The last thing they need is another spike in health care costs.
