it truly is unfortunate feminism could have been a great movement. one that empowered women to cherish what makes them irreplaceable and special. instead, it only taught them to hate all of it. to chase the exact things that hollow them out and make them miserable: situationships, atomization, a career instead of a family. the liberation that was promised, delivered in full, and too many now wake up unable (or unwilling) to explain why nothing feels like anything and everything feels like nothing. it told them everything feminine is a burden. that to be free they must behave like men. that they are pieces of meat who must behave like men to be women. and they believed it now we have the angriest and most depressed generation of women in history, convinced a society that gave them everything they asked for is the one that failed them really sad to see what it did for a whole generation of women.

Casual sex is unironically a huge part of why so many women have become politically radicalized. If you ask a random woman why she hates men, 95% chance it boils down to sexual grievance, accumulated from embarrassing experiences like the OP. In other words, women are the real incels (in spirit). I witnessed this myself in college: one too many bad situationships, and they begin to carry this feeling of being a piece of meat everywhere, projecting it onto “society” despite there being zero material evidence of structural misogyny in the West. The bitter irony is that hookup / situationship culture is a byproduct of feminism; they fought for the ability to be treated like pieces of meat, to be equal to men sexual the way gay men are with each other, but the attainment of this freedom has done nothing but foment an even deeper hatred of their father’s civilization

Just because the Church condemns usury and the exploitation of the poor and demands that workers receive just wages for their labour does not mean she endorses socialism. On the contrary, the Church condemns socialism just as much as she condemns usurious liberal capitalism. Socialism has a precise definition. It is the expropriation of productive goods by the temporal power. It's utterly redundant to call any form of economic intervention within market systems "socialist."
