The Iranian regime executed a 19 year old for demanding democracy. I stand with his memory and the thousands of other young Iranians. Those who grieve the elimination of Iranian leaders over murdered protesters is telling.
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.

You’ve probably heard a lot about tariffs in the national news lately. But here’s something many people don’t realize: San Francisco has created its own version of tariffs.🧵

@vjon @m_atoms You’re 💯 correct. Players within the system like this system, this dysfunction that allows them to operate and exert (veto) power.

This should have been on the front page of The New York Times. I speak to students in America and most have no idea that more than 30,000 Iranians were killed for protesting and demanding freedom. No names. No faces. No coverage. This silence kills me.💔 Thank you, Australia.

Left ideologues don’t view taxes as a “membership fee” paid progressively based on economic strength. Instead, they see them as a way to correct a “social injustice” where some are wealthier than others, which they view as stolen and undeserved.
Dick Lucas 🇺🇸 Running for CA Assembly@dickclucas

The fraud goes unchecked by @GavinNewsom because the point of taxes in CA is not to provide government services. The point is wealth redistribution and enrichment of unions and non profits. So you see, the system is working exactly as intended.

@Twolfrecovery We used to have true “intellectuals”. No more. All we now have are feel-good, over-educated ideologues. Full of glorious ideas, short on experience and wisdom. Rebuilding the brain trust is a generational task.

I don't understand progressive California politicians sometimes. They've literally been in charge of the state during the largest growth of wealth inequality in history yet take no responsibility for it. Hypocrites, one and all.
Isaac G. Bryan@ib2_real

The LA graffiti towers are a symbol of unchecked wealth inequality. They were never meant to house the unhoused people on the streets below so the people tagged them up as a reminder that solving homelessness requires more than luxury condos. I’m sorry you don’t know our city.

Congrats 🎉 @SFBART on your national award for the new #FareGates! 💥Irony alert: In 2026 they finally admit exactly what I said from 2017-2022: “People who jump fare gates are likely the same ones committing crimes and vandalizing trains. Keeping them out makes BART safer” (and increases revenue). I was called racist, divisive, and a hater of the poor for saying that. Only difference now? The only non-Democrat Board Director (me) is gone. That's why BART's Board Directors should not be elected. #Political division and discrimination destroys #Government decision-making bayareatelegraph.com/2026/03/17/bar…

San Francisco is balkanizing itself into “cultural districts” that operate outside normal rules. Unelected actors, unchecked power, zero accountability over entire neighborhoods. Parallel governance, no consent. Just what we needed.
ABC7 News@abc7newsbayarea

San Francisco Board of Supervisors on St. Patrick's Day, unanimously approved establishing an Irish Cultural District. Sunset District Supervisor Alan Wong, who introduced the legislation, says creating an official district for the Irish community would unlock $240,000 in funding to help the culture thrive and grow. abc7news.com/18726909/

We've got classic NIMBYs worried a pet store will turn into apartments (who cares), but then on the other side you have a questionable mix of non-profits with public funding spending nearly $1M per unit for housing! We need to builder cheaper & faster!
Matthew Seedorff@MattSeedorff

NEW: Debate growing in Santa Monica over a proposed $77M, 8-story affordable housing project at a former pet store. Plans call for 80 units for seniors, Section 8 tenants, and fire victims.

I am posting from inside Iran, bypassing several layers of blockage to post this. The Iranian people want this regime gone and are willing to pay the price, because the price of the regime staying in power is higher. That is all. That's the tweet.

The ideological left’s answer to a famine is a lottery system that allows a select few to gorge on caviar, but only if you’re starving enough to attract sympathy. Everyone else can pound sand, eat sand. This is how we do “affordable” housing.

@SinaiLawFirm It’s a lottery, not a policy. It signals virtue because these homes are “pure”, made of “affordable spirit”.

Affordable housing makes Santa Monica unaffordable. How? It's $960k/unit to build. Only select few can live there: Boomers Homeless Fire victims(???) People with income <60% AMI Making more? Tough shit. Pay full price.

The irony is thick. Jewish DA Jeff Rosen, whose father survived the Holocaust, charged hate crimes for Muslim victims: • 2019 Sunnyvale attack → hate crime • 2025 Morgan Hill Ramadan assault → hate crime But in 2026, two Israeli Jews beaten unconscious at Santana Row, attackers yelling anti-Jewish slurs? Rosen’s office: assault only. No hate crime.

The big betrayal of our generation. We should be living in a modernist San Fransokyo, but instead we’ve ended up empty. It’s never too late to start building and truly live in the future. We can do it.

BOOMS WITHOUT BOOMTOWNS "Alongside the trillion-dollar valuations and insta-fortunes, we in some sense should have been building a Tokyo-scale megacity, with San Francisco looking like Manhattan, skyscrapers next to Caltrain stations, and Marin County featuring the apartment towers it’s depicted as having in 'Star Trek: Picard.'" "America has fast-growing metro areas. It’s just that unlike in the past, the growth is not concentrated where the economic boom is happening." "Americans sometimes look with envy on the rapid economic growth achieved in China during this period. But if you look at Shenzhen or any other major Chinese city, what you see is dramatic physical transformation across the course of the 21st century. That’s precisely what American public policy has been hostile to, not just in the Bay Area but almost everywhere that isn’t an unincorporated area on the fringes of a Sunbelt metro area. "To have a broad-based economic boom, we need a boomtown. ... [T]here continues to be unique economic value in allowing more people to live in places that are experiencing booming growth in their core tradable industries. The fact that this doesn’t happen in the United States has greatly muted the value that the high tech sector generates for the average American, and that’s a huge problem."
